Are U Going in 2006? When, Where and Why? An out-of-curiousity question!

Found this really informative...
we are hoping to do our 1st trip to DVC in Sept. 2006. I now have a load of info and reasons why we should try and get something that will be good for our family.

debloco says : March 26th-OKW-1 bedroom-Me, My DD, My Mom-Spring Break fun! Booked it less than 30 days out and all MS had available was OKW and SSR.

Wanted to say have fun at OKW Debloco ! I tried booking OKW last minute as well (March 26-31)......I called on maybe March 3 and all they had was 1 of those nights that same week at VWL and only 1 night at OKW. SSR is currently the only availability for the week (all other resorts sold out) and we're thinking of sneaking down ourselves.
We wanted OKW (bet you got the last room ), but we're happy to try SSR as well.

For sure: December 2-7 and 8-9 (We're waitlisted for the night of the 7th). VWL (first trip home, though we've stayed there on FIL's points before).
Why? Because we love VWL, that's why we bought there, and because I've never seen the Christmas decorations before (We're gonna do MVMCP too!).

We already went to SSR in January. Why SSR? We wanted to try our home for our first trip as DVC members. Also, it had lower points than most other resorts (We are stretching our points to make two trips this year. Very happy! We are going to BWV in June. We decided to try there because of the low points of standard view, and we have heard great things about Boardwalk. For these two trips we chose a 1 BR.

BCV already Feb.10th. to the 19th. Studio wanted to try out BCV.
BWV 1-Bedroom Sister only trip Sept. 26 to Oct. 6th. FW & MNSSHP Why BW it's our home resort and we LOVE it. BWV Studio Dec.8th to Dec. 15th. MVMCP & Candlelight Processional Me & hubby getaway trip.

...WVL won our heart on our very first trip and we've never gotten over the beauty of that place----so, even though we are SSR owners, anytime and I mean ANYTIME---summer, spring, winter---you get the picture, we can transfer ressies to VWL---that's EXACTLY what we will do----

Currently at the DLH at Disneyland.

Oct 1-4 BCV Studios for F&W and to get this baby started on Disney early. (2 trips in utero already).

Dec 10-15 at VWL. 2, 2 bedrooms with our families. 13 adults and 2 infants.

We plan on going in December, maybe the first week. Will be looking to rent some points at BWV. Looking into buying too, got a wedding to pay for first. Our first trip as Mr. and Mrs. The trip before we became engauged in the castle. Don't get no more magical than that.

Where - BCV 1 night then BWV for 5 nights
Why - Mother and son trip for my 40th birthday. I may have to get older but I don't have to grow up. BCV for the pool and sand beach, BWV because of low points for standard views and close to Epcot and MGM. Son is 5 and he should like all the activity of the Boardwalk. MNSSHP is also a favorite. Look for Cinderella and the red Power Ranger.

Snagged a Boardwalk Grand Villa (Oct 22-28) to take our extended family to the Food & Wine Festival. Yee-haw!

Loved Stormalong Bay and planning to spend much of the AUg trip at the pool! OKW is larger for our crew and will be a nice respite before school starts in Aug.

Dilemna is that I now have an AP that expires next Feb. 26th so I am looking at a trip in Nov., Dec., or before the AP expires in Feb. We have been lucky w/Southwest fares so our annual Disney trips have increased to about 3-4/year now

September 18 - 28: a 1BR at VWL, our first love.

May 21 - 26 @ BCV; Why - we like the weather, can use APs that expire in June, International F&G Show @ Epcot, Star Wars Weekends @ MGM

October 21 - 29 @ BCV then SSMC-06 and back to BCV; Why - SSMC06, F&W @ Epcot; great weather and time to get away!

I'd love to sneak in one more trip but don't think I can this year.
