I know those "gator" type are not but I was FIRST thinking of getting the masks with our smiles on them but the more I researched them they DO look a tad bit creepy. So I switched gears and found one that look mesh so it's see through. I'll see if it let's me post a picture. I'm thinking of these mainly because we have Memory Maker and I would really like to "see" our smiles! Thanks!

They look mesh but the description states they are a "plastic face shield". Again, I can only go with what it says about them online. =-)

I’d be prepped to be turned away with those masks. You can bring them, but have regular masks with you in case they don’t let you wear them. You’ll probably be stopped multiple times during the day by CMs asking you to change out of them.

I teach a student who is hearing-impaired, so my school provided me with two of these masks. I HATE THEM. They are hard, and they feel weird against my face.

I wear them while I'm addressing the class that contains that student, but as soon as I've finished speaking -- even if it's just 10 minutes, and I know I'm going to be lecturing again soon -- I switch back to a cloth mask.

My point: If you want these masks, go ahead and try them out now at home. Your opinion may differ from mine, but you don't want to find out AT Disney.

From Disney website

All face coverings (whether disposable or reusable) must:
  • Be made with at least 2 layers of breathable material
  • Fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin
  • Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
  • Be secured with ties or ear loops and allow the Guest to remain hands-free
At this time, based on guidance from health authorities, neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas and face coverings containing valves, mesh material or holes of any kind are not acceptable face coverings.

So no plastic (not breathable) and no mesh (stated outright)

Basically if you can in fact "see your smiles" it's not appropriate to wear

Thank you all very much for your thoughts, stories and input!

@Alan1972- THANK YOU for taking the time to find and copy that into the post. I tried finding it on the WDW website but never found anything other then that about the gaiters. I think I will save my money and not even bother to buy them, since there is no need it wearing them to be told to change them out.

Interesting. The mask Fiasco was wearing in the Festival of the Arts vlog did not secure under his chin.
