Are transfers to the same resort, same use year available for immediate booking?

I will be transferring from one of my membership accounts to the second one. The resorts and the use year are the same in each membership account. Will I be able to immediately book using the transferred points?

If I make a reservation in one membership for just one night, I should be able to link to a reservation in the second membership. Is that any disadvantage to this when using Magic Bands, making fast passes, etc. since the reservations will be linked??

If they are separate reservations it may mean it is classed as a split stay, which will prevent you from making your ADRs all at the 180 day mark. However, I have never had issues with FP+ reservations as the system recognises that you are onsite and doesn't care about split stays.

If you are transferring the points from one membership to the other they will all be combined in the accepting membership. You should be able to use all of the points to make a reservation immediately without linking anything together and will be able to make ADRs at 180 days without issue. Some have reported even being able to see the points online and the ability to make online reservations after completing a same resort/same Use Year transfer.

If you are making part of a reservation from one membership and the rest of the same reservation from multiple memberships without a transfer, the reservations will need to be linked into one seamless reservation - but as noted above, making ADRs may not be seamless (even though it should be when properly linked by DVC).
