Are ticket prices increasing this month? Last year it was 2/22....

I was planning to upgrade a ticket to an AP in June, but the price on the Disney website is $749 plus tax with no black out dates. Am I reading something wrong? If it's $1049 then I'm not doing that!
That's the less expensive AP price for Walt Disney World (you're posting in Disneyland forum). HTH.

This is what I'm seeing. Am I looking in the wrong place or reading it wrong?

You are reading correctly for DisneyWORLD! This thread you are posting on is for DisneyLAND which has the more expensive no-blackout date pass. Are you hoping to buy a DW or DL annual pass?

There seem to be a lot of rumors floating around that this Sunday is the day the tiered pricing will be announced and go into effect.

Getting APs for us this year is looking more and more like a good idea.

I wonder if it will be an instant switch for the other websites that sell tickets?

Has there historically been a grace period on Orbitz, Expedia, Etc. where you can purchase still at the old pricing?

I was planning on getting a Signature AP. I know I get the PP+, and I don't think the Blackout dates will be a problem but I have a couple questions:

Would the AP price go up if the regular ticket price goes up?
Does the SigAP include Early Mornings for both parks even if I stay off site?
Are there a listing of blackout dates just so I am certain before I purchase?

We got deluxe APs in Sept. Just before the price jump. So sad we can no longer get the deluxe annual pass... we will not get passes for a long time. We saved $600 by getting passes two weeks before the jump. It's sad

if I bought tickets the other day, they're not going to make me pay a little more are they?

When the AP changes too place, anyone who already purchased were unaffected. My guess would be tickets purchased before the change would be valid until end of 2016, on any day. Those purchased after the changes are applied would be subject to the new structure.

Here's an article suggesting disneyland will switch to the tiered system THIS WEEKEND.

http://wdwnt.com/blog/2016/02/breaking-disneyland-switch-to-tiered-seasonal-ticket-pricing-imminent/

Did the article get revised since you posted? As of my post, the only thing it says regarding a time frame is this:

"We have talked about this for a long time, but expect a formal announcement from Disney that Disneyland ticket pricing will be switching to a new tiered system very, very soon."

And also:

"There is no word if Walt Disney World or any other Disney Parks will adopt a similar system, but it is not expected at this time."

In your experience, will tickets for say Dapper Day through that special group/event sales site go up or change? Or should we buy now? We're going that weekend for DD. I have an AP but my sister needs a ticket - I wonder if we should just pull the trigger...

AP prices will not necessarily go up, but they probably will. There’s a possibility they won’t since they increased twice last year. But it’s Disney, so I’d expect them to go up some.

AP tickets do not include early entry to the parks and regular tickets give you one early entry to Disneyland ONLY. The only way to get daily early entry and the only way to get DCA early entry is to stay at a Disneyland Resort. When Carsland first opened AP holders were given some chances to have early entry at DCA, but it was only for a short period of time.

The blackout calendar is listed on Disneyland’s AP page. Different APs have different blockouts.

So how would I get an Early Entry if I'm an AP holder and staying off site? I can't? Should I then buy a 5 day park-hopper and upgrade after I use my Early Entry to DLR? Because I don't want to spend $550 to upgrade AND another $200 for the PP+ which is included in the AP, if you catch where I'm going with that.

I did that in November. Took my 5 day PH and upgraded after I used the EE. When I upgraded, the CM asked if I had used the EE yet (I had) but she sounded like she would have given me a ticket to use if I hadn't. (which I had read happens from time to time by dis'ers)

There is so much buzz on the internet today that on Sunday tiered pricing will be introduced. Should be interesting to see what actually happens!

I would breathe easy. I've never heard of anybody buying a park ticket that is valid for the dates listed on the ticket and then having the park demand more money upon entry. No way is that happening!

While I cannot imagine them raising prices less than six months after the price increase of October, it is not surprising due to Star Wars land construction and Shanghai Construction costs. They just made the choice ridiculously easy for us: no more Disneyland passholding. No more Premier Pass. No more AP at all.

We're going to go to Disney World only once per year for our annual trip and buy park hopper tickets. No sense in wasting money on pins, breakfast, and monthly charges for a pass that brings little satisfaction now that there's way too many people (thanks So Cal ticket offer!) and not enough attractions to hold them all.

Not a fan of Star Wars land at all going into disneyland, so.... this is our last year for us then. Oh well - they already priced us out with the last increase and now there's too many people to fully enjoy it. :confused3
