Are ticket prices increasing this month? Last year it was 2/22....

Thinking of buying today for a trip later this year, but we may want to upgrade to APs. Can anyone confirm if. Multi-day can be upgraded to an AP?

Yes, a multiday ticket can be upgraded, you get credit for the price paid for the ticket toward the AP. I am thinking of upgrading too.

Trying to figure out why Disneyland bothered to send people a survey that asked about pricing et al. I was hoping it might keep the rates where they were, before going up tomorrow. Keep the pricing there for at least most of the year. Boy can we say delusional? Lmao :faint: lol
One of the questions was if you feel Disney is being greedy. That is the word they chose. I was being nice by saying no. In reality, I find too many companies, including this one to be just that. Greedy. If I ever get another survey, I am going to be 100% honest man. Which I was with this survey, until that question and another similar one was asked.

As I pass the Disney cup that contains sour grapes and lemons. :(

Bought 2 adult 5-day park hoppers at Flight Centre for $808 CAD today!

That's a steal on the exchange rate man! The Disneyland site has them for $630 US so that's like a rate of 1.2825

Got 2 Adult 4 Day 1 Park/day and 2 Childrens 4 day 1 Park/day passes for 1,352 CAD this morning as well. Disneyland site has those for $1,010 so the rate comes to about 1.3386 for ours. I'll take it considering the rate right now is just above 1.35 :)

Is the price increase one of Disney's crowd control measures?
Or a way to entice people to come for more than just a day?
Thus increasing the volume of people in the parks.

Tip savings threads will be even more important as the increase rolls out.
I read them as they come up. But there are only so many ways you can save on a trip to DLR.

It definitely will make a difference for families trying to enjoy the magic.

Right? When I called a couple weeks ago they told me $832 so it was a better deal than I was expecting.

I think they're trying to encourage a resort experience at DLR. :)

If that is the case, I wish they, Disney, would have started with adding perks to the hotels, etc to make it a resort feeling, let alone a resort experience. Keeping the parks spotless, everything in tiptop shape, (no paint chips, worn out carpets, etc), add refill mugs, a decent dining plan, real perks for people staying at the hotels. Once you have that in place to justify a rate increase, then increase the price.
Yes, I know all about Disney being a business and all the other stuff, BUT, and it is a big butt, one of the top rules in business is to not just get customers, but to KEEP customers. Disney is turning into an amusement park to go check out one time, like Six Flags, Knotts, Universal, etc. Chip by chip, items are taken away, changed and replaced or altered to where they are generic with the Disney logo slapped on it. No thank you. All amusement parks have a majority of "one time visitors" and a small, loyal fan base. Disney is pushing their loyal fan base away, price increase by price increase, replacing authentic with generic. All for the bottom line. You see, you can keep raising the price, have LESS people go and still show a profit for a while. Right now, the fan base with this latest price increase is becoming smaller, and the one time visitors are coming, but, are there more coming, especially with the price increases? They will cut their stay shorter and then cross DL off their bucket list.

So... you lied on the survey and said you didn't think they're greedy. Now you're shocked prices go up.? The cognitive disonance in that post you made, just wow. I know we're all supposed to be really nice here but you must admit that is incredibly... it's not what someone would describe as smart.

I purchased my tickets last night, only 2 days @ 1 park per day but still a $50 savings for a family of five. We may upgrade once we get there.

Anyone who thinks Disney is worried they are losing customers has lost their mind! Disneyland has a big local base of visitors. If some people don't show up cause it's too much $, their spot in line will fill in quite nicely by someone else.

Thank you. I appreciate your kind words. I didn't want to seem harsh with that particular term, which was of their choosing, not mine. Also companies are in the business of making a profit, even if it seems to be greedy by its customers.
If or when Disney sends you a survey, you may answer the questions the way you best see fit. That is what I did. And feel perfectly good with my choices.

I agree with you on the point of "worried". I, am not worried, I am a pissed off consumer over corporate greed. Disney, like ALL businesses, have a small base group of supporters. All businesses, big, small and in between need repeat customers to sustain them through the rough times. Continually raising prices will eventually cut the group of supporters down to a fraction of what it once was. This is for all businesses.

Is there any rumor on APs? I am considering upgrading my tickets to APs when I go in September, but that's contingent on them not going crazy between now and then. Otherwise I'll just stick with the hoppers I already have.
FYI according to Disney Parks Blog you're safe to keep considering those APs. There is not an increase to AP prices right now.

<---googles the term "cognitive disonance"
