Are they making a Toy Story 3??

Any word if Disney/Pixar are going to make a Toy Story 3 movie?

Last week we went on the animation tour in WDW, and we were told that it is in the works and should be released in, was it 2008? Can't quite remember. I would assume it would have the original voices, also.

I am looking for the article now, but I read somewhere that no of the original cast was going to work on this one. I'll post a link when I find it.

Being made, this time without Pixar.

Pixar was less than impressed when Disney proposed Toy Story 2 and stepped in, making the movie with Disney (in order for the quality to be maintained and by association Pixar's reputation) and in the end counted the movie as a giant freebie for Disney.

It was part of the reason Pixar left in the first place.

All they will have to do is get 1 or 2 actors who sound like a couple of the main characters, then introduce a whole new line of marketable items, oops I mean Andy's new toys - with different voices - in TS3.

They've already used different actors for Buzz and Woody in other productions, so they probably already have someone in mind.

Patrick Warburton did Buzz in the Buzz Lightyear of Star Command cartoon series, and Jim Hanks (Tom's brother) has done Woody in the Buzz Lightyear movie and the Toy Story video games.

(And, really, where has Tim Allen been lately? ABC/Disney made him a wealthy man, he might feel the need to repay the favor.)

If Disney wants this done, they'll find the voices. The bigger concern is if they can find a story.

toy story was a great movie and part two wasnt too bad. if they can make a storyline, they can make the voices work with it. the challenge is going to be if they can somehow get a pretty much all new set of characters to work. its going to be unpleasent for me if they keep the same characters and use completely different voice that dont come anywhere near mimicing the originals. then again, even if they do get a relitively good replica of the voices, the personalities will be different. time will tell with this one.

I heard Hanks and Allen where both signed on for the 3rd one. I heard that the plot to the movie was that this many years later when Andy is grown up and how the toys are later on. Pixar isn't going to be apart of it unless something changes between disney and Pixar, which I don't see happening.
