Are they doing parasailing on Castaway?

We had it booked and now we have been removed from the list ....but it is still listed as there but as sold out.
My group is not happy

I see your sailing is in a couple of weeks. I would be upset too.

When I saw your post, I checked my reservation and we're still booked for Parasailing in Dec. But now I realize there is a possibility, it can get cancelled just prior to the cruise.

It did not appear to be happening when I was there 2 weeks ago. There was no activity around Marge's Barges, I never saw anyone parasailing, and normally, if it is cancelled due to weather conditions, there will be a sign noting that as you walk from the ship to the tram. There was no note that parasailing had been cancelled due to weather either day we were there.

Guess they are cancelling all of them.
Too bad.
We are having less and less to do.
Still waiting for some decent Nassau adventures......up to 7 now, but nothing my group wants to do

Even before the pandemic, the chances were high that parasailing at CC would be cancelled. There was never any valid explanation given, even when the sky was sunny and there was very little wind.

Just from reading trip reports and blogs, it seems that none of the excursions on CC that require off-island personnel are running right now.

That's too bad.
Does that include the glass bottom boats?
How about the kayak and nature walk.
We're running out of things

That's a shame, one of the best things to do at CC. Just seems like fewer reasons to go right now.

We did the glass bottom boat excursion on the 9/11 Fantasy sailing. We had booked parasailing but were notified it was cancelled.

We just got the notification of the parasailing cancellation.....hours after it went off our itinerary.
The kids are going on the glass bottom boat with their aunt

Don't most of the water sport workers come from Great Abaco. Maybe DCL is restricting them from going to CC because of the Bahamas Covid numbers rising.

Checking in to see if the October Jetboat Tours and Parasailing are being canceled as well.
It's listed for my November cruise, but I'm hesitant to get my hopes up.

I think as of right now any excursions that used non Disney employees aren't running as they would be run by people coming over from the other islands in the Bahamas.

We are booked on the Fantasy 11/6 sailing. We have parasailing booked for day 5 and it is still showing in our plans.

On our Sept 27th Dream cruise they were not doing any excursions except the Glass bottom boat from what we could see.

MJ

It showed up in our plans until about a week before sailing and then was cancelled.
It will depend on if the local operators are returning to the island.
Glass bottom boat was running one day and then not the next.
Same with walk and kayaking.....cancelled the second day there (when 3 of our party had it) due to :
"unforeseen: circumstances".....also the hair braiding and the local vendors
