Yes, there a tax credit for 30% up to $1,500 depending upon they type of unit you install, it has to be more efficient that the unit you currently have. Some units also require the installation of a new furnace so read the regulations carefully.

Some electric companies are also offering a $500 rebate on certain energy efficient units. I have National Grid and DH is going to install a unit for us that will get us this rebate - Because DH is doing the installation work himself, our cost after the rebate and tax credit is going to be $100 :woohoo:
