Are there any really bad BWV views?

We are planning on trying BWV for one night. (Then we leave WDW for a night and then return with a group of people to BCV, hopefully!) We want to get a one bedroom and are thinking about using fewer points. But we do like the space of the 1 bd. Are all the standard room views ok at least?

I love the BWV standard views and have never had one I didn't enjoy. The ones at the far (long, long walk from the lobby) look out on a duck pond and the tennis courts. The advantage is you're halfway to DHS. There's an exit that goes out to the parking lot/bus stop not too far from the rooms in that corridor. In Dec. we had a room overlooking the entrance and near the elevators. I was afraid it would be noisy from the ME buses and airline check-in/baggage handling area. But it didn't bother us at all. The standard view rooms are a great deal and have good views.

We had a standard BWV 1 bdrm last August. Room 4115

We were able to see the top of Illuminations at night. Far enough from the front, we didn't hear any buses.

The consensus on these Boards is that the SV at BWV is actually generally pretty good. The rooms closest to the lobby may have more noise from trucks unloading and more roof views.

More Board members actaully object to certain "Preferred/Pool View" which may incude a view of the scary clown slide or be completely blocked by landscaping.

As a result, I personally find the SV rooms to be the hardest to book at BWV (other than GV, which I have never attempted). The OP may certainly be able to book a single night, but the one time my WL didn't come thru it was for a single night (but it was Columbus Day night) in a SV studio (we WLed in January). I have also called 11 months out to book in early December and been unable to reserve a SV studio at BWV, but I called after MS had been open several hours.

The good thing is that BWV has a lot of 1 BRs, so that is the easiest size to book. Best of luck -- Suzanne

The standard view rooms are actually quite popular and for most times of the year, they are not even available at 7 months.

Finding standard seven months out is often very difficult but if only looking for one night chances are much higher. As the photos indicate, standard view is not bad at all because the parking lot is not that close to the rooms. As noted above, you more often hear complaints about a preferred pool or garden view because some of the rooms will be looking mainly directly at a tree or the back of that clown at the Luna pool.

Let me say first that BWV is by far my favorite resort. I actually did a standard studio the last time that I was there and had some disppointments. We got a first level standard room. The room felt a bit damp had little nats flying around and was dated (it was not yet updated).

Normally, standard views at BWV are great. Like we usually like them better than pool views. When we have stayed in standard view rooms, we usually get a view of the front of the resort (green and very pretty) and can see some fireworks from epcot sometimes. You may want to ask to get off the ground floor if you can.

We had a preferred view in a 2 bedroom last August. It was on a low floor near the end of the hall, furthest from the elevators. The view was less than stellar. I think it would have been nicer on a higher floor, with a view of the Swan & Dolphin, but all we saw was a tree and a contractor's truck that seemd to be parked in front of my balcony every day. Still, it was nicer than the view I see the other 50-51 weeks of the year! :)

There are apparently a few rooms in the interior corners where your view is someone else's room (and there view would be your room). These would be classed as "preferred view" rooms.

There are a couple where you see as much of the roof as you do of the landscaping (one Standard View room, top floor close to the lobby). A few where you have a lovely view of a tree (Standard and Preferred). And a few where you look at the back of the Keister Coaster (Preferred).

There are actually a few 1 bedroom standard rooms at BWV that are HUGE, with a great location.

I think the numbers are X123.

I would love to stay in one of those rooms!

Sometimes these rooms are considered preferred view, someone on this board got it.

I was lucky to get 3123 one time, it was awesome. It is far from the elevator but close to steps.
