Hi all!!

We are planning on going to WDW in December and were wondering if you could find any special treats at WDW that are only there for the holidays? (i.e., drinks or food).

I remember that the confectionary had some holiday fudge (like candy cane and egg nog)

Thank you so very much!

Epcot and GF and main street have gingerbread men. HS has egg nog (spiked):thumbsup2 and roasted chestnuts at GF.

Can you still get roasted chestnuts at the GF? I know in the past you could get them at HS, but was not able to get them last year and maybe the year before. My DD loves them and I would love to get her some when we go the week after Thanksgiving. We always go to GF to see the decorations and to the Garden View for tea.

Thank you so much!

I remember in 2008 the Contempo Grounds had a gingerbread latte, i've been craving one ever since :)

Yum, where can you find the eggnog at HS and the gingerbread at Epcot?

Alot of those special treats are served during MVMCP at the MK.

They are also served at HS in the evening to my recolection for the osborne display on the back lot.

They also have them in and arounf WS in Epcot for the Candelight Processional.

This is my first trip back in December since 2008 i used to go every year so things may have changed since i was there last

DHS also has holiday style adult beverages by the Osborne lights along with the spiked up eggnog.

The Earl of Sandwich in DTD Marketplace has a seasonal "Holiday" sandwich. It's like having your Thanksgiving/Christmas turkey dinner on a bun. It is BEYOND delicious. And I think it's only about $5.99! :cloud9::love:

Gingerbread at Epcot is found at Liberty Inn- they used to at least have a gingerbread house with hot chocolate and gingerbread and other such offerings.

I have seen holiday flavors of fudge in the confectionary at the MK before- I think it was a pepermint swirl 9Like a candy cane).

Just dont buy the gingerbread shingles from the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House, they are awful and other posters say the same.

Also the nuts that you can get during the Osborne Lights at DHS are really hard to chew too. I thought I was going to break a tooth!

We will be there this year too and I am going to look for other things to try etc.

There are some lovely adult beverages to be had around the holidays... I seem to recall a spiked hot cider and a peppermint cocoa.

I second the comments abut the gingerbread shingles from the GF; we had several very good gingerbread men on our holiday trip but the shingles were just bad, very dry with a terrible balance between ginger (too much) and sweetness (too little).

I read about some treats from past years on a Disney food blog...looking forward to some holiday fudge for sure.

Last year DHS had some holiday adult beverages such as a holiday margarita

They also have holiday colored dole whips and I saw a peppermint ice cream sandwich that has my name on it!

The holiday colored Dole Whips are a little... odd. I suppose it would be cute as just a Dole Whip, but when you put green-tinted Dole Whip into pineapple juice for a float the result is not all that appealing, visually. The red vanilla soft serve might make for a better color combo as it melts!

A couple of years ago, there was a cart near Germany in EP that had a mulled wine. At least I think that is what you would call it. It was hot and yummy. They sell the mulling spices and bottle of wine at the wine shop in Germany.

At Sunshine Seasons in Epcot last Christmas Day they had a Yule Log dessert. It was basically a chocolate cake with a raspberry or strawberry (can't remember) filling and then covered in little chocolate holly cutouts, so it actually resembled a Yule Log. It was very good, but very rich and I couldn't finish it all in one sitting after eating a meal beforehand.

Can anyone remember where this egg nog would be located at HS?... That caught my attention.:rolleyes1

Also, do the countries in EPCOT have specialty holiday beverages?

This is our first time going during the holidays, so just looking for something different.

Thanks!
