Are there any Halloween events at DL?

I remember something about the Haunted Mansion being changed over. Does anyone know when this takes place? I will be in the neighborhood the first few days of October. I will actually be in Long Beach but I'm thinking about going over to DL for the evening one night to see the Mansion and maybe the fireworks. Thanks for the help.

They change it over in Sept and it should be re-opened either at the very end of Sept or very early Oct.

nearby, Knott's Berry Farm goes all out and becomes Knott Scary Farm in October (at least I think they still do, they always did when I was growing up). If you are really into the halloween thing and enjoy more traditional thrill rides why not give it a try?

Knott's still does the Halloween Haunt. It's a big hit. I believe they start it in early October now. But as much fun as it is, seeing the HM done up for the holidays is still better.

I remember last year (I think it was last year) they had trick or treating at Downtown Disney. It was more popular then they were expecting (probably because it was free and Disney) and the lines were extremely long just to get a little piece of candy. Hopefully they will handle it better this year, if they do it at all.

I went this past May to Anahiem and never made it to Knott's because I really enjoyed being at Disney and couldn't get enough of it.

I think with the added bonus of Halloween being celebrated at Knott's I'll be more interested in being there.

I checked the site and it will start the weekend of Oct. 1 to 3.

I'll give HM a look at DL, too.
