I heard that the waterparks are heated in the fall and, if so, would consider spending a day there during our trip in late Nov/early Dec. Can anyone confirm this?????

I was at Typhoon Lagoon on December 4th and the water was heated, but not that warm. We actually had a relatively nice day and still were kind of cold. The big slides, such as the water rollercoasters, are not heated and the water is icy. It was still fun though!
Yes they are. But a little lower than they used to be. Cannot remember the actual temps now. You don't say where your from but I find a lot of "northerner's" in the pool & the southern people walking by in there coats. If your coming from 20 degrees, 60 feels really good.
We have been down in december many times and some pictures at MVMCP are just shorts and tanks then some others are jeans, coats, gloves & hats. If a cold front shoots down it gets nippy and windy. But you might get a nice day in there sometimes. Usually during the day sun we go. I have even been out at nite and we weren't alone. Also the location of the pool at your resort is a difference too. Example: your at GF the pool inside the buildings will be WAY warmer than the pool that fronts the lake, with winds coming off of it.
Also please note that one of the water parks (usually BB) closes around the end of October and reopens a little before Christmas. So you'll probably have only TL to go to when you are there.
That's what they told us three January's ago (heated water.) It was a beautiful sunny day about 70 degrees. We decided to try Blizzard Beach. Well, we went all the way up the chairlift to the highest spot to ride the family raft ride, or should I call it the family ice torture chamber? What a long way down! I warmed up with coffee on the "beach," while the kids did get back in for a little while. Needless to say, the blizzard noises and pretend snow made it worse!
