Are the Parades worth the time?

In your opinion, do you think the parades are worth the time for two college-age girls traveling without kids, or should we skip them and take advantage of a lot of the crowds being around the parade?

I say skip...for sure.

I guess it all depends...I'm a total ride person, so I always skip the parade and take advantage of short lines.

I'd say to watch one or 2 of them and see how you like them. That way you'd get a feel for them and you can decide if you want to watch other ones/the same ones again. I really regret not watching the parades on my last trip (senior year of high school, so fairly close to your ages). And I adore the one parade at DL.

I would definately say skip them. The parades are nice if you have kids who want to see all the characters. I really never watched the parades until I had kids. Definately take that time and go do some of the attractions that normally have a longer wait to them.

Some of them. Spectromagic is worth it. The 3pm parade in MK isn't. The parades at Mgm and AK are okay. In the end, my favorite is the xmas parade. If you decide to skip them, take advantage of the shorter lines at attractions.

Under your circumstances...skip the parade with the exception of Spectromagic...if it is scheduled during your trip. Realize the crowds surrounding the parades can easily tarnish your memories of what otherwise was a great trip...lots of rudeness, etc.

if you think you want to skip them, then skip them. i was with a 6 year old who didn't want to see the parades because 'they're just people walking around.' otherwise, i love spectro, the mgm parade and the dak parade (except i hate how it's half guests). i could definitely live without the MK parade.

I think you should see the parades at least once and decide for yourself. We have gone on nine previous trips and have never seen an afternoon parade, but we have seen evening (Spectro, MSEP, TON, TOD) parades many times.
