If you came out of a park and a Minnie Van was setting there could you take it to your resort?
You must use the app to make the request. And only get in the one that the app matches you with (they are numbered)If you came out of a park and a Minnie Van was setting there could you take it to your resort?
It is nice when they do that but everyone does need to know that sometimes they have said no.We stayed at Art of Animation and last Saturday, we wanted to take a Minnie Van back to the hotel from the Boardwalk. The Minnie Van option didn't appear in the Lyft app, so I went to the front desk of the Boardwalk hotel, and the cast member took my phone number to add the Minnie Van option for me. I just had to close the app and open it again, and then I could request a Minnie Van.

I wonder if they have a limit to how many they can do that for each day?
Obviously every guest on property can't access them yet, that's why they are only making it automatic at certain resorts for now. So they have to limit them somehow. A limit to how many they can manually add for non resort guests would be one way
Took a Minnie van this morning and the driver told me they'd add folks on the app even if they aren't staying at one of the resorts that offers Minnie vans, you just need to go to a resort that offers it.
They will. But not 100% of the time when asked. That's the part the driver left outTook a Minnie van this morning and the driver told me they'd add folks on the app even if they aren't staying at one of the resorts that offers Minnie vans, you just need to go to a resort that offers it. He also said they are currently working to get more vans and hope to roll them out at all resorts eventually. Even at this point the availability is a bit limited - we didn't have any problem getting one at 7:30 this morning from Yacht Club to MK, but there were none available at 11:30 from MK back to Yacht Club. And at $20 a ride they are a bit expensive. We took Uber from Yacht Club to Wide World of Sports and back and it was about $8 each way, so a saving of $24 round trip.
can you take the Minnie van from GF to Disney springs? Is it a flat fee? Do they have cars seats? Do they fit 5 people?
thank you
We are staying at GF, can I go from Disney springs to GF instead. It makes perfect sense by the way. We have a total of 5. 3 adults and 2 kids. Just thought it would be something to try and after shopping at Disney springs might be easier that way.Yes, you can take one from GF to Disney Springs (I’m assuming for this answer you are a guest of a Deluxe resort). $20 flat fee no matter where you go on property. They fit 5 people and there are 2 car seats available if needed. (Note, it’s only 5 people even with car seats, it’s not 5+2 car seats, if that makes sense).

They actually fit 6 people.
3 in the rear, 2 in the captains chairs and 1 in shotgun.
I wish I knew where the links to the Minnie Van threads on Transportation are. They have all this information already. Can someone share information about the ECV-friendly Minnie Vans? I believe these are it:

How many passengers do they carry? How many ECVs can they transport at one time?
I'm trying to figure out the best way to go from Flying Fish to AKL-Kidani Village after a dinner. There will be nine of us, which includes two car seat-aged children. As of right now, looks like the two options available to us are:
1. Request two Minnie Vans — both ECV friendly — and spend the $40 on the trip (it's to my understand there are only two of these in the current fleet)
2. Catch a boat from BoardWalk to Hollywood Studios, then a bus from Hollywood Studios to Kidani Village

I know you have it right, there are only 2 in the entire fleet and they can only carry 1 each and they can't fit 2 car seats too.
You'd have to have 2 vehicles. Do both of yours have to be ECV friendly? That could be an issue is someone else has already called for one or both of them.
And you do have to call for them, not use the app
The Boat/Bus would be the other option
I'd probably play it by ear then. That night we'll have one ECV, so one ECV-friendly Minnie Van plus one normal Minnie Van will suffice.
Personally, I don't mind the boat-to-bus idea, but with Hollywood Studios' bus depot in the state it currently is, I'm unsure about it. Sure beats the heck out of trudging through the gobs of people in World Showcase to get back to the Epcot bus depot.
I'd probably play it by ear then.
Call and see what the wait for the ECV Minnie Van is. Ask then if you can get a 2nd non ECV one or if you need to use the app for it (probably do)
If there is not one available, go to the boat/bus route.
3rd choice is go to the Boardwalk bus stop and take the first bus to come and switch to AKL bus there

You don't hail them like a cab
