Are the Epcot boats on some type of schedule?

I saw something where the boats leave Epcot for BWV every 20 minutes or so. When we were there last week, we waited at the dock for about 10 minutes and left at 10:40. I started to wonder if they were on any type of schedule. I didn't think they were, but if they are that would make life easier.

I think they leave before the next boat gets there. It might depend on how many Friendship boats that they have running at the time. Usually they dock, unload, reload and leave. On to the next dock.

OK, it's 2 AM here in Arizona, but I still think this is the funniest thing I've read in a long time....

We have taken these boats many, many times and I haven't been able to figure this out yet. Most of the times they just pull up, unload and load back up and leave or only wait if they see someone running up to the dock and waving. But every once in awhile they will wait a bit at each dock, this doesn't seem to happen often and I don't know why they do it.
