Are the Brazilian Tour Groups Gone?

OMG, I felt very bad reading this topic!
I'm brazilian, but not a part of the big tour groups! Actually, last time I visited Orlando with my family, a small boy found a brazilian coin in Soarin' line and asked his mom where was it from. My brother replied and said it was brazilian, and they started to talk... His mother asked me "So, could you please explain me what is going on there? All the brazilians are here!!"...LOL! And I said the same thing the other guy said up here, that people now have more money here, and the travel agencies are offering some really unexpensive options for people to finally get to know Disney World.
Also, nowadays the us dollar - brazilian real parity is not so good for us, since we have 1 us dollar - 2 reais. A few months ago it was 1 us dollar - 1,70 real, so you guys can expect less brazilians in the next months.
The crowds should be gone after August 15th... But some of us have a week off in school during October. Our summer holliday starts in December, so the crowds will probably be bigger during this month and January.
Here's a funny fact, when I was young, about 5 (I'm 22), and we happened to meet some brazilians at the parks, my parents were always happy, because they don't speak english very well, so, it was a nice opportunity to chat and make friends. The last time I visited Orlando, about a year and half ago, every time we started to hear people speaking portuguese, my dad said: "let's get out of here NOW"... LOL! He really doesn't like the big groups, and actually said that we are only going back when my brother finishes school, because then we can try to schedule our trip for other months, like... May? April? Never been to the parks during these months, but I have the feeling that it is less crowded than January, when we're normally at the Parks!
I guess I just wanted to say that not all the brazilians are impolite! Some of us are just normal people, visiting the World with our small family!:wave2:

I´m a brazilian too and I agree with the fevacilima's words...

Our family totally understands the problems with brazilian groups... We hate them too!!! Specially the person that leads the group and goes to the fastpass line with about 50 tickets... :scared1::scared1::scared1:

In our passed trips, we used to wear a Brazil t-shirt, but last year we went in October and we saw o lot of rude groups and then, we decide not to wear our tees...

We love the World!!! It´s my favorite place in all world!!! And everytime we meet someone in america, we try to show that exists polite people in Brazil too!! :grouphug: :flower3:

Oh please don`t worry ...... we all know that not all Brazillians are like the tour groups. We saw some awful behaviour by quite a few British people this year that made us very embarrassed, but I know we`re not all like that :goodvibes

Someone just posted a video on UO's Facebook page, and it's 2 Brazilian tour groups in line for The Simpsons Ride :scared1:

That`s awful. We never saw them as bad as that anytime. Imagine being stuck beside that racket.

We just left Orlando Saturday after spending 1 week at All Star Movies and saw Brazilian groups. We ran into them at IOA and ALL the Disney parks. The majority of them were rude and cut in line when they were in groups of over 20. When they were smaller groups of 5 or 6 we had no problems. They blocked stairways at the resort because they were using the payphones and we could not even get near the food court or laundry room at the hotel because they took over all of it. Our experience was they left the hotel around 9am and returned early evening. And beware of their swimsuits. If you have younger children they will definitely get an anatomy education around the pool! Our trip was great - how can Disney not be great - but we will never, ever, ever go in July again because of these groups.

We were at sea world this morning and saw one group at Atlantis. Last week at U/IoA they were all over the place. Luckily there we had Universal Express; we never saw any tour group in the Express lines, but they were obnoxious on Hulk and did the chanting on Rip/Ride/Rock it .

Sat eating breakfast this morning at 9am in Orchids Lounge in RPR........and a Brazilian tour group were checking in :worried: and there were about 50 queueing up to get Express Passes :( :( :(

Did not expect to see them here at all.

The one thing we have said all trip is at least they don`t have EP. Some of them do now.

We left the Studios today at 12 as they were everywhere.....I mean everywhere. Could not get in to 2 bathrooms as they had taken them over.

Just hope they don`t take over the hotel tonight as we fancied a pool night :confused3

We were there Wed. - Fri. and thankfully never saw them. We were at orchids lounge for a bit on Thursday evening before dinner.

Hi and welcome to the boards! I know not all are that way. I have a very good friend that I actually met in the Magic Kingdom. She is from Brazil. I have met her family over the years when they come and they too don't like to travel in the big groups. They are wonderful polite people. Do they "chant" on the line.. no but they do yell, scream on the rides.. I do it with them when we are together. Just like any American. Also, not every tour group is that way either, some are different. My friend, at one time was a tour guide. :thumbsup2 That was how she got her Visa to come to this Country when she was younger. She is now married with children, but as a single young woman, she did that for a living. She traveled to Disney for free, was actually paid to go! Her groups were not the misbehaving ones. If people took the time to actually look at each one differently, they would see not all groups are even the same. They are from all over your Country! The same can be said for our American Cheerleaders. Some are well behaved and some cheer and run though the parks, do back flips in walk ways at resorts, use hair spray in food courts etc... you have poor behavior in all nationalities, it boils down to how the adults allow them to act.

Around what times do they go to universal/disney?
Would Late May/Early June be a problem?
They usually go in February and July which corresponds to their school breaks. May and June are pretty safe.

Just encountered about 25 getting in the single rider Spiderman line! :'(

Yep we never really saw them often after they arrived. Just a couple of them.

That`s where we saw about 50 join the single rider queue. The normal wait was 60 minutes. The girl who was sorting them at the other end was determined they were not going to ride together and was annoyed what they were doing.

Last week when I was there I finally had the chance to see and hear what everyone on these boards was finally talking about. In all my trips to WDW and USO, I never ran into them, sadly, I wasn't as lucky this trip

I saw the big groups with the tour guides holding up the flags of their country and the chanting inside the ride ques was over the top. On the 90 minute wait for FJ, there was two groups who loudly chanted over and over and the look on the people's faces in line near me, said it all.

It was just too much, especially when it moved indoors. The ironic thing was that when I moved on to WDW 2 days later, I saw the same groups (I remembered some of the tour guide faces) and heard the same stuff being yelled over and over. Way over the top.

Between them and the heat, I'll be sure to skip going in the summer. Looks like late fall or early March from now on.

I also saw a few in the Dr. Doom line and Hulk...me and my boyfriend were just like WOW! Really, how rudr can you be? Didn't hear chanting but one flipped a garbage can lid until I wanted to hit him with it!

We only saw one group at IOA and it was much smaller; hopefully that means they are on their way out of town...Off to Wet N Wild today after this morning's softball game.

We were at WDW and US/IoA the week after July 4. Our first night in Fl we stayed in ASMovies. We noticed whiled heading out that there were very young girls sitting on benches smoking cigarettes. That was our introduction.
We went to all the Disney parks and saw the multiple large groups. I have the iPhone app that shows wait times. We planned our next attraction accordingly. You could tell which attraction the groups were at by just looking at the line times. Whenever we encountered any of the groups at Disney they were always in line and orderly ( except at the hotel that morning). As long as we paid attention to ride times there never was really an issue. We transferred to kidani for the rest of our trip and they weren't there.
Fast forward three days later when we went to US. There were no lines and utter chaos anytime you met up with them. We got in line for one attraction and about 100 girls swarmed the line to catch up with their friends. Generally I'm not aggressive but after about the 20th girl that went under the rope in front of me I got in her face and said no. What's so sad is that their tour leaders were in the middle of it all encouraging it. There was an older lady who cut in front of me who would not meet my eyes. I finally went to get the poor kid who was working and pointed to what was happening. He looked over and saw about ten girls sneak through and shrugged his shoulders at me. A few minutes later the chanting began. All in all it was pretty crazy.
