We are flying RT $115.00 Manchester to Orlando in May. The key is flexibility and watching the fares. I usually book them when they are $175 RT and end up with credits. Since we ususally go every year, I end up using the credits.
Seems like they fares are only available 20 days or less out, fly at horrible times of the day, and zig zag all over the country on connections before you make it to your final destination!
I would not be surprise if you have to fly with livestock to get those fares and fly direct someplace.
Yup, that's what it would be for us out of Tulsa (our closest airport for SW). Bad times, horrible layovers and/or more than one stop. NO direct flights. In this case, "cheap" just isn't worth the money not spent.
I'm so excited to hear about these great rates on SW. I was always kind of jealous because SW does not fly out of our regional airport, but it recently occurred to me that since we only live about 2 1/2 hours from Chicago it would be so worth it to drive and fly out from there. We usually fly Airtran, but the cheapest I've ever gotten with them was about $200 but it's usually closer to $250!!
They are there, but you usually need to be quick. I've gotten the $49-$59 fares frequently from Providence non-stop at good times for me. In fact I've got $49 each way in May 22-29 with excellent flight times.

Usually those fares are available for all the flights, but, they go fast. The old saying "you snooze you lose" is very applicable here. They don't fly animals on SWA (well human ones they do allow).
If we were travelling by June 16 we could fly from Louisville to Orlando for $59. We are planning a July trip - I hope the same fares will be available then as well.
There have several $59 flights from Kansas City to Orlando in May and first half of June. That's the lowest I've ever seen the flights to Orlando. Many of the June flights are already booked. I hope with the fuel prices they don't discontinue these great fares.
