Just wondering, from "real life" users - I know they're an item Oprah loves and has had on her show - anyone love them? hate them?

Going on a cruise soon and would like a little "help" ! Thanks!

I bought one for a wedding, and although it was the correct size according to their charts, I had such a hard time getting the thing on, that I bagged the idea.

I bought the Slim Cognito Spanx and oh my goodness what a difference it made. Yes, it was really annoying to get on lol. But once it was on, to be honest, I didn't notice it much.

You definitely have to do the Spanx Dance to get them on, but one you get them on they do help to smooth out everything and they're fairly comfortable.

I was afraid once I got the thing on it would crush my internal organs! :rotfl2:

Get the kind that hit right under your braline if you don't want to have insightly rolls where the Spanx stop. Not pretty.

Once it is on you really don't feel it. And man that thing sucks it in! Without squishing my ***. I am tempted to try the one piece body suit thing- just a torso kind of controlling thing.
Try it! You'll like it. And buy your real size.

ok, here's my question....if it's going to push all my butt fat and belly fat-where does it all end up?

If they are that tight wouldn't they muffin top you?

Sadly - it is all still there. The Spanx provide an organized and tightly controlled environment so it is not as noticable. ;)

I have the style that go knees to under the bra and I must say, I do like the end result and they are not uncomfortable - the crotch does takes some getting used to.

The Target brand of them are made by Spanx (I think it says it on package), anyone ever try them?

This is the same one that I have..........and I totally agree with you

They smoothe you out. However you cannot breathe, they are uncomfortable, and if you have more than littke wrinkles you are trying to smoothe out (pooch, spare tire etc.) You will just look like a firmly packed sausage in them.:scared1: I have a pair and I wore them under an evening gown. I saw the photos and  I looked like a very tight tube of chub! Not really the look I was going for.

I have a hard time visiting the loo while wearing mine.

But, I do like the look under pants. I usually wear a flow-y blouse to avoid muffin-top syndrome.

Here's a story: We were going to a wedding and being fat, and knowing we were hiking to the top of a mountain in dressy clothes for the wedding, I was freaked. Anything I found would show sweat. Or was ugly. I chose a pink pretty dress that was loose and sleeveless, but it was a little fitting over the tummy. I bought spanx to wear under it and was pleased with the results.

I modeled for DH, since it was his dearest friend getting married and although I am not one for his approval, it would have mattered if he hated it.

His reaction: "Very pretty! That would look great with a girdle, honey."

Yeah, I was wearing one and told him so. I think I got a jewelry from that.

You know I didn't get the muffin top kind of stuff. Mine was long enough to go right up under my bra. I just figured it kind of squished it all in- And on the butt I was talking about how you can get flat butt with other kinds this one- nope bootylicious
