What about one of those ice/freezer packs to keep in a cooler? I usually like to carry frozen wash cloths in a tiny cooler to refresh ourselves during a long park day. It's sealed, but I'm thinking it might not be allowed...can anyone help?

Nope, not allowed. The best way to decide if something is going to work in a carryon, and is larger than 3.4oz (100ml), is to see if it holds it's shape when taken out of it's container. Obviously, those ice packs are not going to hold their shape.
You can pack them in your checked bags though. What a lot of folks do is to freeze a bag of corn and use that to keep things cool in their carryon. Or freeze grapes...yum!!

Thanks...I thought so. All of our bags are carry on only, but my Aunt is checking one bag so I'll stash it in there! Thanks for the tip about the frozen corn. I never would have thought of that!
