Can I give someone my code and let them use it under their own name? Can I transfer the code??

I just got a 30% off code for travel dates up until March 30th. I was going to offer it on the DISboards but didnt know if they were transferrable.

Thanks for any insight you have to offer!

Pins are attached to your name and address. We called with our PIN to book and after we entered the PIN, a CM came on the phone and addressed me by name before I told him my name. So.. yeah, it's attached.

Disney policy is that they are non-transferable and usually say as much in the fine print... (it's REALLY small print)

You will find posts on here saying that a "mother, sister, aunt or whatever was able to use a code belonging to someone else" - but that is very much an exception. The rule is - don't share.

And generally speaking Disney enforces it.

Too bad you can't use it tho!

Yes, our name was associated with a pin in Disney's system (we received the card). We had moved and they verified our old address (I had given them our new one originally).

I have a May trip planned! If it weren't for that I would do it, or, I would rebook for May if the code were valid up until then.
Thanks for the info!
