Are Phone ADR's & Online Separate Systems?

I went to make my ADR's for our Jan trip online and it would not give me +10 days option. I went ahead and made my first day since it was available (and 3:30am). I called after 7am to book the rest of my ressie's. No problem. Got everything I wanted.

Very helpful CM. She saw my resort reservations and booked out through the trip. Then I asked could she give me Confirmation # off the online reservation from that morning. She could not see it. Maybe it would be in the system later she said. Well it was CRT and I had made the deposit so I really wanted to check. Went online and online I could see the ressie I made online but not the ones I made on the phone.

Well checked online today (3 days later) and still no go on the ones I made on the phone. :confused3I booked one online over top of the one I made on the phone just to see if it would kick me out. Nope. Made one online at the exact time that I had made on the phone. (I immediately canceled the online one.)

All were made using same phone#. Are they completely different systems? Anyone else ever get crossed up using the 2 systems. I have all my confirmation numbers so I guess I'm OK.

I made some online and over the phone. I wanted to confirm my phone ones and they would not pop up online either. So, I called and they told me you can not access phone res online. Bummer!
 
As far as I know, there's only one data base, but different ways to get data from it. The Disney dining data base and associated software appears to be disfunctional and buggy. All I can tell you is that various reservations I made by phone and on-line during the period leading-up to my early September trip were all available on-line, including CRT.

I agree. It took a few days but my phone reservations were available online eventually.

I don't think there is any rhyme or reason right now that explains the problems with the system. As we get closer to 10/27 I think things may get worse.

I do know that when I cancelled a reservation via telephone, that reservation showed up immediately online (is was not available before that) so that would make it seem like the same database is being updated. The CM's at WDW Dine seem to have more query abilities than the online user.
 

It is my understanding that we can only check reservations made on-line on the on-line system. But the CMs can check on-line and phone reservations for you. I had to call the other morning because my confirmation email didn't come through and I wanted to make sure my reservation was there. She didn't have any trouble pulling my on-line reservation up.

I did call and all my ressie's are shown on the Disney system. Aaaah, being a Dis planner.......
