Are park ticket vouchers still not recommended?

I know last time we went that it wasn't recommended to go for vouchers when buying park tickets. Is this still the case?

As we're staying onsite at Disney we're fine on that end but with Universal I wasn't planning on getting my tickets until nearer the time. Unfortunately as they have started jumping up in price the last few days (and another price hike rumoured tomorrow?) I've been looking for the best deal and Netflights have the 2 park bonus ticket for £132 per adult but it appears to be vouchers and the deal ends at midnight.

Should I just bite the bullet now?

I have never had a problem with vouchers, used them many times. Although I have read others say they can be time consuming getting them exchanged we have never had to wait.

Thanks, Wayne! Think I'm going to have to go for it...£132 each is too good to miss when some places have shot up to £150+. Just wasn't planning on getting them so soon!

Doesn't seem 2 minutes since we were paying $99 for AP's.
Unfortunately Disney & Universal have outpriced us. Last few visits to them both have been complimentary (Disney) & press passes (Universal)
We might do a MNSSHP in October but I am not paying the price for regular tickets.
Thankfully we still have Busch & SW AP's that don't rise in price, tied in a few years ago for $120/year for both parks.

Other half has told me this is my last time partly for this reason :( Annoyingly it isn't even cheaper with US tickets anymore either, really. We're staying at RPR for 5 days but it was cheaper to buy a 14 day ticket than anything else.

For anyone else looking as well the Netflights offer of £132 finishes at midnight tonight!

Thanks for the notice! I called FloridaTix and quoted the NetFlights £132 price and while they couldn't match that price they did drop the price from £146 to £138. Tickets are coming Monday. Vouchers are fine but I don't mind paying a little extra for real tickets. He did say I get a few extras too.

Damn, wish I'd thought of that! Oh well, done now.

Nothing wrong with the way you did it and you're saving money. Vouchers are no hassle at all Just turn up a little earlier! Not sure if all your party have to be there to exchange else get someone to stand in line at the gate while you swap your voucher. Main reason I went with FloridaTix is habit.

We've got vouchers for the first time as Kenwood travel had them on sale at such a good price. We will arrive later at the parks in the hope people have already exchanged and entered the park

I got our Disney tickets for our November trip as vouchers from Orlando Attractions. Saved us £30 each. However, between me asking about them and getting round to buying them they'd been discontinued. Luckily, because I'd emailed him before the offer ended he was able to honour my original enquiry and did the voucher thing. For Disney you don't need hard tickets if you're staying on site as you just link the number to your MDE account. Worked fine for us.

ATD are charing £315 for the 7 or 14 day Ultimates and Orlando Attractions were selling at £299 but that went up to £304 during the week. I'm now wondering whether to get the tickets now before they go up again (which they will due to the strong $). We'll get free photopass which is nice but we've done it twice and don't really need it again.

We only once had trouble with a voucher - a VH FLex+ for Universal/Seaworld/Busch etc - we exchanged it at Busch gardens - you'd have thought we had come down from another planet - they did not have a clue and it took around 35min to change it. Everywhere else on other trips was fine...
