We have AP's and last year we were able to get dining with our AP room discount without having to buy a park ticket. Are the rooms in limited number for packages for each resort or not. I can't decide if I should book a package at regular room rate or if I can wait until AP room rates for Jan. come out and do it then. I just don't want to find out all the packages they allow are gone if I wait. Anyone have a clue?

There is always a certain inventory kept in regards to room-only versus package inventory, but I doubt if either inventory would be totally booked for January dates.

What you would be concerned with is the discount inventory. Only a certain number of rooms are offered at discounted rates, and that number could be affected by the number of rooms already booked at regular rates when discounts are being decided. Should you wait until the discounts come out, there is a possibility that your choice of resort or room category is extremely limited and fills up quickly.

At this point, going ahead and booking your package now would only cost you a $200 deposit. You would then have your room reserved and could apply an AP discount should one be offered down the road. You would have up to 45 days prior to arrival (late Nov at the earliest for Jan dates) to cancel the reservation should no discounts be offered or if the discounts offered does not meet your target pricing.
