Are OKW studios that much roomier than all the others?

The studio bathrooms are HUGE. However, they're not split; the toilet, bathtub and sink are all in the same room.

Ask for South Point area bldg 55 or 56. we have stayed in bldg 56 there which is next to a quiet pool that overlooks the canal. It was very relazing and quietBldg 49 was noisier because of the way the buses turn around but not enough to bother us. We had a studio in April and I never noticed any noise from the other room so I guess it just depends on who is in the other room. . The bus stop was very close also. Bldg 20 or 21 is next to a quiet pool -small and also close to the bus but I liked the south point area better. Again this is what makes DVC so great - what is good for some is not so great for others. This time we have asked for near the pool with the snack bar (which probably won't be open given our trip dates) as we are traveling with a grandchild and it seems a little bigger and I understand the main pool will most likely be closed. Hope you get a great location and have a wonderful trip.

Have only stayed in a 2 bed room at OKW but the difference in room size is substancial and impressive. We do not spend much time in the room so little more than a closet is good for us.

Thanks everyone! I was just looking at a map of OKW and was thinking about requesting a studio in Bldgs. 23-26 because they are close to the Hosp. House, a bus stop, and a pool. I am curious though about the noise from the bus turnaround that some of you have mentioned. Looking at the map it appears that these buildings are ineed on a turnaround and may be prone to more noise because of it, what do you all think/or what have been your experiences?
Side note: We are also considering a request for Bldgs. 19, 20, and 62. Although the South Pointe bldgs. seem quite popular as well, we may need to look into them further.

Also, quick question, does anyone know the locations of the dedicated studios? If there are any...

I think it depends a little on how many people you have going. If it is just 2 of you, the extra bed is a little difficult for some folks, but we have found our guests just use it to store purchases!:p There is a small table for two, but some prefer the small sofa at BWV/BCV/VWL. I think the extra space in the bathroom at OKW is the big draw here, as well as the fullsized closet.
 Which WDW DVC studio does not have a full sized closet? We have always had a full sized closet in every WDW DVC studio we have stayed in?

When we stayed in the BWV studio, the closet was not as accessible as the one in the OKW studio. You had to reach around the corner to get your stuff in the closet at BWV. The bathroom sink blocks the access to the closet on one end. At OKW, you just open the doors and there you are.

I was wondering if anyone was going to make the point about the huge bathrooms at OKW studios vs the other studios. I prefer the sink in the same room as the tub and toilet so I can get dressed without waking up my husband and son if I get up real early. You don't trip over the toilet getting to the tub at OKW.

I love the two queen sized beds instead of one queen sized bed and one double sleeper sofa.

I wouldn't say they are that much roomier just a better layout IMHO that makes them seem roomier. Plus you get the 2 quees instead of 1 queen and a pull out sofa. I like the BWV for my favourite DVC resort but we wish they created the layout there that OKW has.

OK, I understand. I knew all thre studios have full sized closets. We never had a problem with the closets. We do not hang much up, most of our clothes are in the drawers, so we have always had ample closet space. The portacrib, highchair, ironing board and vacumn are in the back of the closet--so since we never touch those items, it is never a problem. LOL! The huge walk in closet in the BWV 1 br is really a waste on us. We have used it for a mini room for the DD with an aero mattress though--she thought it was great.
We find a split bath to be a big time saver when more than one person is getting ready. We love the split bath; I wish one of our baths at home was capable of being split--it would make mornings much easier.
