Are my reading comprehension skills dropping like a stone?

We were thinking re getting APs again. We've had them off and on according to our plans in given years together with Tables in Wonderland and felt it was a worthwhile purchase. I didn't pay much attention to the October 15 announcements re the changes and tiers and such. Now that we're thinking of getting them for a June into July trip I have begun the homework.

Do my eyes deceive me when I see the blackout dates?! Is it possible that I'm misreading what I'm seeing? Does blackout dates for virtually the entire summer apply? Am I missing something?

You won't hurt my feelings if you say I'm not misunderstanding what I think I'm reading.

What type of annual pass? According to the blackout charts on Disneyworld.com the platinum passes have no blackout dates, the gold passes have blackouts during Christmas and spring break. I don' t see any summer blackout dates.

some passes, especially the florida resident only passes have blackout dates but look at them closer before you say they are in your way.

There's multiple tiers of annual passes. The cheaper ones do have blackout dates.

I think the blackout dates only apply to the less expensive Florida Resident Passes.

Silver Florida resident APs have the entire summer blocked out.

Gold Florida resident APs don't (or have just some of the summer)

Platinum APs have no blackout dates (and are required for all non-Florida residents)
