Are mosquitoes a problem?

Just wondering if mosquitoes are a problem at all at the parks, the resorts, or walking paths.

Nope, I have never had to use bug repellent. I finally stopped brining some with me to the parks.

not mosquitoes no, but DH's legs got eaten alive by something on the grounds on our first day. Now he's got the most sensitive skin i've ever seen, so it may not bother a normal person but he would have been more comfortable if we had put some kind of spray on before we left for the park on that first day.

I don`t think they`re a problem, but you can get bitten by them.

The year Zika Virus was prevalent, I was bitten by a mosquito by the pool at RP. It did swell up and first aid said it was a mosquito bite.

But, that was the only time since visiting from 2007.

I live behind Universal, mosquitoes are not a problem here. They spray very well for them around the parks. Only on extremely wet seasons have I seen any, and that's usually deluge central weeks (After a slow moving tropical system) and that was years ago.

That was an interesting article and makes me want to try liquid garlic in my gardens. Thanks for posting it @bobafemme. I live in Michigan where -- at least in the central part of the mitten, we are having terrible mosquitos right now. I am heading to WDW later this month and wondered if I should pack some off. Looks like we'll be fine without.
