Are Mornings Still “Slow” at MK on October MNSSHP days?

A friend and I have both enjoyed the low crowds at MK during recent August and September trips on days when the park closed early for MNSSHP. Does that trend continue into October? I have not been in the parks during October in over 20 years 😵‍💫

My mom and I have a day at MK planned with a family we are cruising with in early October. We will have a five year old on her first visit, and I’m trying to gauge if early entry and possibly low crowds will be enough of a boost or if I should consider LLMP. She isn’t tall enough for Tron, so that going from VQ to standby won’t be a conundrum. My Mom and I will buy LLSP if necessary for us.

Thanks, experts!

My son is a CM who works at MK parking (the TTC area) and he was telling me yesterday how slow it was in the morning of party days and how busy the mornings after parties have been so far....at least with parking...which likely translates to park attendance.

Agreed! We both had some great days so far this Halloween season. Waits stayed manageable until 3-4 pm. We purchased LLMP on a party day to “guarantee” a ride on Tiana as we hadn’t ridden it yet. By tapping into 2 of them before 10 am, we also secured Remy and Frozen for our evening hop to EPCOT. The low crowds and waits pretty much made up for the heat, humidity and rain!

Oh boy it's just hard to say if it will carry on into October. I bet October will be busier overall than now. I was there last year in August, Sept. and October. October was busier for sure - it was just before Halloween though. Early October might be different than late October.

October may be busier in general but, party days are still markedly quieter than non- party days in the MK.

We've gone in late August before and we usually go on non-party days due to the longer hours and no park hoppers, but we are wondering if it would be worth trying a party day next August. We have 3 MK days and our youngest will be 6. It's 4 less hours, but could you potentially get on about as many rides?

Historically we find we get on more rides on a party day than we do going from open to close on a non-party day during party season. Since you have more than one MK day you can go one non-party day if you wish to see the fireworks.

These pictures from Thrill-Data show historical ride wait times on party days vs non-party days.

We were at MK on Labor Day which was a party night. We arrived shortly after 9. We rode Tiana (BG 9), BTMRR, HM,
tea cups and Buzz (twice) and had a snack from Friar’s Nook and were over to EPCOT by 11:15 via the monorail. We LOVE party days!
