Are high 05 & 06 prices because of 50th Celebration?

I assume so, but you never know. I would think that after Dec. 06 Disney would drop their room prices down a bit. It seems to me that they are benefiting from the hype of the 50th celebration (thus stretching it to 18 months to get 2 summers and 2 winter holidays).

But I for one, know that I wont be able to afford to attend WDW 3 times a year if they do not lower rates.

My example is last summer (2004) we paid AP Rate $68 a night TAX included @ POP. For 2005 it wouldve cost us over $90, and in 06 looking at the rack rates (say they take off $25 discount I am still over $90, closer to $100 for a VALUE resort.

So what do you guys think? I think WDW will slow down in attendance after the 50th celebration is over.

Travel is up all over the U.S. so if travel continues to be up and Disney can fill their rooms at the higher prices they will do so. You will only see the deep discounts of the past come back if they are not able to fill their rooms at the new prices.
