Just read in Unofficial Guide that these were closing to make room for Jimmy Neutron and Shrek. What will be there for President's week? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately nothing but by summer both attractions should be up and running. :)

Also don't forget Kongfrontation is kaputs and the replacement is not slated to open until Summer 2004, I think.

Hitchcock closes in 7 days from me typing this. Hanna is closed already.

Hitchcock needed to go but I can't understand why Hanna-Barbera, Kong, Hitchcock all had to go before that worst ride in the park....that crappy ride called Earthquake.

I'm going to hate to see Hitchcock close. It is a pretty good attraction. I am looking foward to see what they are going to do in both areas. I know that they are using the same ride system in HB and redoing the insides and movie to look like Neutron.

From what I've heard, the ride programming wont change for Jimmy Neutron. Meaning that all the bumps, rises, falls, and turns you felt in HB you will feel in Neutron, just with a different look and different movie.

Which is why they simply should have redid the HB Film. They could have redid the ride and still kept it Hanna-Barbera. I mean Scooby Doo is on a Come Back, The Flintstones had a film out a 2 years ago. They could have still kept that ride going.

Just a friendly correction. The motion profile is being re-programmed for the new film. You will find that some of the elements in the main theater are being repainted and reused with some slight modifications.

There will also be new bodies on the motion bases.

That's cool, Earl. :) It was just rumor, and as we all know, rumor isnt always right.

I would assume the Jimmy Neutron and friends attraction refurbishment was to keep Nickleodeon at USF. Do I assume correct? Otherwise I just don't 'get it.'

I know a lot has been written on this...but, man, killing Kong and HB is a major downer. HB was awesome. Replacing classics like Scooby and Fred Flintstone for Jimmy Neutron does not make any sense to me.

Nor me and all of this before Earthquake. Also they have that Xena/Hercules AKA Murder She Wrote Soundstage that's been empty for 4 years now. It makes no sense to take a ride out when you have an empty ride that can be used.

They took HB out for the simulator type of equipment that is in it. They are redoing the movie and then putting in Jimmy Neutron. I'm glad that they are finally updating some of the stuff in the park. Give them time they are doing 3 new attractions in the park. I know that they took kong out for the size of the building for what ever (the Mummy) attraction.

What's funny is they took Kong for it's size but yet everyone on the inside keeps saying how the ride will be only 1 minute if that.

Yes, it will be short, but not that short. The track time will be a little shorter than Spiderman.

And the Spider-man track time is approx 6 mins.

Actually, just passing through from time to time.

Load to unload, yes. I never did like to count sitting still in the station. That's a little "trick" that gets used to boast of a longer ride time. The actual show time is of the vehicle is less than 4 minutes.

Is this ride going to be a sort of Spider-Man/MIB track type ride?

Earl, I've heard that the new attraction is suppose to have some speed to it is that correct?
