Following the drama with fridge removals earlier in the year, does anyone know if they have now been replaced in the Port Orleans Riverside? We are going in a couple of weeks.

this is from the POR website

Fridges: Both Riverside and French Quarter are now at around 40%-50% working fridges, after about 400 new units were installed at the initially worst-hit French Quarter. Specific medical requests are all being granted, but general requests are still being dealt with on a case-by-case basis (they are moving fridges around to try to help guests, but there are no guarantees at present). 500 more are expected at the end of August, which will make the situation easier again, and the remainder hopefully by early November.

If you don't get one (we didn't), Walmart sells large styrofoam coolers for about $10. We filled zip lock bags with ice and used ours for water. Needed to change the ice twice a day but it worked well enough. No good for food but that wasn't an issue for us. As we got through up to 12 bottles of water a day it was worth the trip to Walmart. We also spoke to concierge and got a $15 per day refund for not having a fridge.
