Are EMHs worth an extra $250?

we are heading down for a quick two day trip. We will have a rental car and plan to be in the parks as much as possible(not sure what we'll do for DD's naps) The problem is that it's the week before Easter. I'm expecting the parks to be packed to the gills and also expecting DD2 to slow us down. We aren't planning on hitting the "biggies" like TT, Soarin', or any of the Mnts.
Right now we are trying to decide between the cheapest hotel we can find or staying onsite. The difference is $250. If we stay onsite we can use the EMH and gain an extra morning hour at MK and an 3 extra evening hours at DHS, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra money.

We were there in Oct, and honestly didn't use the evening hours at all. Our kids were 4, 2.5 and 1 at the time of the trip and were tired by 8 every night.

Yeah, I think you would be pushing DD way to hard if you did that - the only way I can see is if you would be willing to get a in-room sitter and then you and DH could go out wherever you wanted... sounds good to me!

Just curious...are you flying or driving? If you are flying, you can avoid the rental car, gas and parking fees (I think they are $12 a day) by using ME, then Disney transportation while you are there. That might help offset the cost of the room. We find that early EMH helps you make up a lot of time. We were there during Easter Week a few years ago and had no problem with crowds during am EMH. The 2 year old might be able to nap right in the stroller too:)

we've never taken advantage of the evening EMH only the morning.

We are flying, but I'm a control freak so a rental is a must. We also have AP's so parking is already free.

We are spending one whole day at MK and then dividing the others up into one day. There are only afew things in each of them that we can/want to do. Is there a possibility that the parks would reach compacity? I could maybe see not needing to use the MGM evening hours, but the extra hour for MK and AK in the mornings would be nice. I'm just really afraid that the crowds will be so unbearable that we won't get everything done. What do you guys think? If we don't do space mnt, BTMR, splash mnt, or anything with a height limit do you think we'll be alright.

no, we never even used emh and had a great trip. You should give tour guide mike a try to figure out your touring plan.

yeah its worth it...we were there fo a week last year and the only time the parks were not crazy was when the emh were in effect///3 hours at the magic kingdom of walking onto the rides..we were the only ones at 2 o clock in the morning...park was empty...really cool to do pirates with no other boats..was kindoff creepy
