Usually I stay offsite...but for my next DL trip.....I decided that I wanted to look into staying at the DLR with DW, DS ( 4 yrs old ) and DD ( 5 months old ). The problem is that my parents will be coming along to help take care of the kids.

For those that have stayed at the DL Hotel....how big are the rooms at DLR with the Standard View?

I'm trying to figure out if the rooms are too small to house the 6 of us.

If it came to it....DS can sleep with DW and myself while DD sleeps with DGD and DGM.

Although the alternative is to get an additional room......the total price goes up considerably if we get 2 rooms over a 4 night period....making it not worthwhile. I know that the other option is to stay at the DCA Hotel....but it's the same thing there...the price from there goes up compared to the DLR.

I don't know if DLR has the option to get a Rollaway bed....much less if there is enough room to house one.

Any thoughts?

Well, will they even LET you book one room for all those people? I can't even imagine doing it.

FYI the other hotel is the Paradise Pier Hotel. :)

I'm trying to go through the booking process, but the site is bogging down. Grr.

It finally worked, and I got the message
Your party cannot have more than 5 guests in a room when selecting the Resort Accommodations path. Please change the total number of guests in your party, or call (714) 520-5045 to make reservations by phone.

So I guess I'm of no help! There are suites, though, have you looked into the cost of that?

Something to consider...if your parents are 60 or older you can get a 30% discount off the room rate (rack rate) any date...but these senior rates fill-up fast...The DLH has rooms with two queen beds and a small sofa sleeper... You would request this ... also check with the Hotel...The max. is 4 adults in the room and a child but with your 5 month old...I believe they wouldn't count her in the room total....jc

edit to add...the rooms have a pac-an-play sleeper in the closet...I think this is they are called...it been awhile..

You cannot have more than 5 in one room at the Disneyland resorts (unless you book a suite). You will not get ID cards for all 6 of you which means that you will not all be allowed to take advantage of the perks of staying onsite (early entry mornings, etc.).

Honestly, even if it were allowed, I think the rooms would be far too tight with 6 people. Definitely go with 2 rooms.

The only way I could book all 6 of my family in one room at DLH was with a suite - so, we're splurging, and staying for two nights, w/ concierge..... can't wait !

My BIL and SIL just got back from staying 7 nights at the DLH with their 4 kids. The youngest kid is 6. They all stayed in one room the whole time and even told the reservations folks about it ahead of time. :confused3
