Obviously, all feet and shoes are not created equal. But it seems, for the majority that wear them, they definitely are. They are for me!!! I'm pooh-sized and well, my feet hurt even more w/ the weight. I need to wear socks though but they are the ONLY shoe I've worn there that made them ache less and w/ my socks, I got no blisters at all. It was the same for my DS10 who wore them too. DH was ANTI Crocs because well, they used to be (and many are) homely. :rotfl: But once he saw our feet as opposed to his, he searched hi-and low while we were there for some. This was years ago and unfortunately they were hard to find. They weren't on property then. He found at pair at Universal in his size, but they were baby blue. Yeah, that didn't happen. :lmao: SO this time, he's prepared and plans on bringing his Crocs. He's a believer now too. :thumbsup2

I bought a pair of maryjane style crocs before our trip because I read how comfortable they were and that so many people wear crocs at Disney.Well I did not wear them/break them in before our trip and when I wore them there they gave me so many blisters and killed my feet!It was hot when we went also and I had to buy socks there to wear with them so my feet wouldn't hurt so bad!Of course after I broke them in from wearing them at Disney they feel great now!!

I use to be a HUGE croc fan and wore them constantly, however, my feet started hurting SO bad that I was hardly able to get out of bed in the morning without it being so painful! I went to get fitted at a sporting good store, since I just started running, and got scolded for the amount of times I wear Crocs. I have now have several people tell me how those are the worst shoes ever invented and they ruin your feet. I have not worn my crocs for over two months now and my feet are starting to feel slightly better - it is taking its time though. If I were you, and after what I've heard, I would purchase a pair of Keens instead. Those shoes are also easy to dry in case they get wet.

I have tried them in the parks, they were comfortable but not the best thing since sliced bread. I actually would rather just wear tennis shoes b/c my feet seem all sweaty in crocs.

Way too much hype for a plastic shoe...........not comfortable at all....just wore mine to the pool and back and yes, in the Florida sun, in crocs, your feet sweat. I'll take my flip flops any day over crocs.

I like the Cleo croc sandals but my knees and hip doesn't. My podiatrist shutters when I mention wearing crocs. He says that they are the worst things you could put on your feet. :sad1:
I have orthotics for my shoes and just bought a pair of naot sandals that I can put the orthotics in. :) I always hated just wearing sneakers with my orthotics, feet get too hot.
But my pick for crocs are their Cleo sandals. I have noticed too that as they get older the cushioning in the footbed becomes poor and your feet hurt.

DH and I are Crocs wearers, not only in Disney life but most days in real life too. It is almost drudgery when we have to wear real shoes. :lmao:

I have discovered Clarks for a work/dressier shoe and Keens when we go rafting as Crocs simply float away!

I bought my first pair of crocs - Mickey beach crocs for our WDW trip a year ago. I wore them the entire trip and loved them!!! I now own 2 pair of Mickey beach crocs, a pair of cleos, and a pair of mammouths. I am now a little sad when I put on my non croc shoes (just not as comfy) but I do still rotate - I can't wear crocs 24/7 but almost!

Why do the dr's not like them??? I've heard several of you say their dr's cringed when you mentioned them.

Before my knees got so bad I cannot walk that much anymore, I wore them on a 10 day trip. We made every rope drop, we closed the latest park every night including magic hours. While there were a few days my feet hurt at the end of the day (especially the last three days, I think they were just worn out like the rest of me!) they recovered quickly with resting a bit. I never got one blister or hotspot. So yes, they are that comfortable. I never said they were cute (although this trip I have the new Melbourne crocs and they don't look like crocs at all...but they sure feel like them! I got three pairs in the tan fabric, black leather, brown leather and will be taking all of them.)

I find this hard to believe. I keep hearing people say that dr's say they aren't good for your feet, but at the hospital where my daughter is an RN all of the surgeons wear them and swear by them...she is the one that told me about them in the first place. I have always had very bad feet issues and have a very high arch and they are the only thing I was ever able to walk any distance or length of time in and never did get one blister or hotspot...Reeboks, Nike's and Sketchers all gave me blisters before the first day was over.

EEK! I have at least a dozen pairs of Keens and they are amazing...I'd be diving in after them! :thumbsup2

I only wear Crocs. That's it. Never had a blister, never had sore feet. They're ugly as dirt and I don't care.

Ok here's my dilema. I tried on the athens and they were comfortable everywhere except the heel. I wore them around the house for about 2 hrs and there was so much pressure on my heel that my foot hurt the next day still.

Why is that? Does that mean I have a flat foot and I can't wear anything other than a flat across shoe like the crocband flip I have? The athens heel is higher than the toe.

It's confusing me and I just want to find the right pair for my feet LOL so I can have an awesome time in DW :confused3 Last time we went my husband and I both wore sneakers and we were Miserable! If your feet hurt, your not going to have a good time, or atleast I'm not, I have 2 little kids to chase after and that ain't happnin with sore feet. I'm convinced if I have comfortable shoes, I can take on the world!

I have pretty flat feet, and the right arch can drop for no good reason at all. I am overweight, have a bad knee (from an accident in high school), and a bad disc in my lower back. I also have plantar fasciaitis. Crocs are all I can wear. Tried Keens, tried Sketchers, tried LLBeans, Dansko, fit flops, Columbia, etc. You name it, I've tried it. Within minutes my arch drops, which messes with my knee and makes my back hurt. Crocs are all that work for me. I usually wear the Caymans (now called classic) as they are somewhat narrower than the Beach style. I wear them all the time, not just at Disney. I took a new pair to Disney last August, and the only problem I had was the button on the inner edge of my right foot caused a blister. I just took the strap and button off the shoes and they were fine. I did notice that my feet sweated far more than usual in August (sweated the fabric off the moleskin, but left the sticky), so I am wondering if that was the problem; I've been wearing crocs for YEARS and this is the only time there's been a problem.

To be fair, it's not comfortable ...for YOU and some others. But the hype is coming from all the people that DO think they are the best things for their feet. It cannot be ignored that tehy work for a huge number of people. All the people at my kids' pediatricians and dentists use them and the ones I've asked have all said the LOVE them to be on their feet all day.
I dont mind what works for me not working for others, but saying blanket statements like "they aren't all that" and "too much hype" is ignoring evidence. It's just YOUR experice, not an over-all assessment as it reads.
;)

I wear the Malindi's pretty much exclusively to the parks. The only problem I have is the 6 is too big and 5 is too small, so I wear the 6 and they've been known to fall off getting in or out of ride vehicles. I think I'll try the Patricia next to see if that works better.

I have never worn them to the parks.. but I work in a hospital and wear them for 10-12 hours a day and Im on my feet all day.. walking all over. I would say thats the equivolent of walking in WDW and they are so comfortable!

The Patricia is great too. I wear mine all the time, but I'm actually not sure I'm going to wear it in the aprks becuase it too, falls off my feet sometimes. Especially when wet. I can't walk fast let alone catch a running toddler w/ them on, :lmao: , so I'm going to order a clog again becuse I KNOW they will stay on. ;) I'd like something less heinous :rotfl: but oh well. They have some semi-nice looking bi-colored ones now. :)

My Dr actually "recommended" them for me a couple of years ago as I have so many problems with my feet, knees and hips from rheumatoid arthritis and Lupus. I have been wearing them ever since, and if I try and put on a regular pair of shoes, they feel tight and awful, even if they fit right after my Crocs wearing so long. He wears Crocs and so do all his nurses and the other girls who work in the office. They all claim their feet have never felt better after those long days.:thumbsup2
