are coolers allowed in resort pools?

I'm a typical first-timer with a silly question: Are coolers allowed in resort pool areas? Is outside food allowed in at all? My pre-schooler son is a snacker, and I don't want to spend all our vacation money buying him expensive pool-side snacks. I also think warm apple juice is less than appetizing. Thanks for the help!

Absolutely! We often pack a picnic lunch to eat at the pool. Many people are seen snacking away on things they have brought. We do this for the water parks too.

Awesome! Thank you so much. We've never stayed at Disney before (but bought DVC in December) so its great to get answer to all my silly questions. :)

We always take a little folding collapsable cooler to the pool & water parks. I got a little one just slightly bigger than a lunchbox size, nothing huge, to store in our Owners Locker along with a couple of those "blue ice" things. It's just big enough to hold a 6 pack or a few sandwiches. :thumbsup2

Don't forget that there are also some bbq's around if you want to eat out in the open :)

Claire ;)

I did see a guy a couple of years ago pulling a big cooler on wheels at Typhoon Lagoon.
