Are clothes sold on board

I'm betting OP's luggage is black, like so many others (including mine.) I keep intending to mark it some way to make it stand out from the others, but haven't got that far. The thought of red or bright pink duct tape on the sides or curly ribbons on the handle just don't sound very classy. We do have unusual luggage tags, but they wear out or the luggage carousels eventually destroy them.

Is it cloth or hardside luggage? If it's hardside luggage you could put one or more bumper stickers on it. Maybe iron-on patches for a cloth bag? You might have to sew them in place, though; I've never had much luck with the iron-on patches staying put in the long term.

A number of years ago, we invested in some colored luggage straps that wrap around our bags. These provide a strong visual indicator as our bags circulate on the luggage carousels, allowing us to differentiate our bags from all the other black suitcases out there.
We have luggage straps as well.

I am off topic but since luggage straps were mentioned... We also use luggage straps, rainbow ones. Last summer we flew out to San Diego from our small local airport, cruised up to Vancouver and then Alaska, then flew back from Vancouver BC. When we were on our outbound trip we saw the TSA guy unbuckle the strap to check our "wine". He was teasing us for bringing wine in our luggage. When we arrived in SD, no strap. Sadly it was a new strap. Two weeks later when we flew home and picked up our luggage, the strap was back on the luggage. :rotfl2: We generally belt the strap over the long side, when it returned to us, it was wrapped around the short side, a dead give away that "we" did not put it on the luggage. All we can figure was that the TSA person figured out he did not buckle the strap, looked up when we would be returning and alerted the baggage folks to return our strap.

Bizarre story and totally off topic... I was watching an episode of Border Security. This guy was returning from India, I think and he was pulled into secondary. They checked through his old, beat up black suitcase with a bright green strap on it. Of course, they found contraband - meat, I think, but could have been drugs. He claimed it wasn't his bag, even though he'd picked it up from the carousel. The border guy wasn't having any of it. "Come on, fess up. You really think there's another bag just like this with a bright green strap on it?" he asked. The guy still claimed it wasn't his. So border security went to look and sure enough, there was another one, just like his waiting to be claimed. That bag and the guy were cleared for entry.

Sometimes out bright unique ideas are not so unique. :D

They sell girls underwear for sure although we did take the last package of size 10 panties on our cruise. And it was a hefty $35 for 6 pairs of undies. Poor DD. Her scatter brained mom forgot to pack her undies. At least I remembered to pack undies for everyone else!

At $35/6 pair, I bet you remember for everyone next time. :) I know I would.

Moral of the story, cross pack your luggage. This way everyone has a little something to wear!

We were traveling and a bag did not arrive in time. At that time we had put the trip on an American Express card that would reimburse us for baggage delays after 3 hours. Its nice knowing you can buy replacements and get reimbursed. We now use primarily Chase Reserve and they have coverage too, but for a longer window.... nice perk!

I forgot to pack a belt on my first Fantasy Cruise, no belts anywhere to buy on the ship.

Ugh, that is why I try so hard to double check everything to make sure I dont forget a necessity that cant be replaced on board!

Well, better waiting for luggage than for your passports...

A few years ago, at about 8pm the night before sailing out of MIA, driving south from a few days at WDW, we realize we didn't have our passports.

Long story short, my BIL was able to get into our house, get them passports, drive to EWR and put them on United courier service for the next morning, all thanks for the awesome DCL Guest Relations team that made that suggestion at the last minute (actually, they mentioned Delta's but they wouldn't get there on time).

The plane did get delayed coming into MIA. So without any sleep from 8pm until 11:30am when we finally got our passports, by 1pm we were finally relaxing in Cabanas...

I was just happy the store had the one package of underpants in her size. All the other packages were 4T or 5/6 and she would not of been easy to deal with wearing too small undies for an entire week. Hoping I don't forget anything in April. She is 13 now and will control the packing of her own undies this cruise.

The exact reason why we write our last name on the strap with a very large bold marker. I know we aren't the only ones using straps these days.

I have a wine suitcase - Yes, it's a suitcase specifically designed for shipping wine on airplanes - and it has burst straps. Those burst straps are actually attached to the bag with really cool little brackets that you install once you buy the bag. That way when they open your bags - and they most likely will when you're hauling 12 bottles of libations - the straps stay attached so they don't forget them. I wish regular suitcase companies did the same thing, and made it so that you can attach the straps to your luggage.

I'm glad your story had a happy ending! I would be a nervous wreck waiting for those passports to show up! :scared:
