Are AP Previews Worth a Trip?

If we had still been living out of state, we definitely would not spend money on a spurge trip just for an AP preview. As Florida residents, we would love to eventually be lucky enough to schedule an AP preview though.

Unfortunately, we were inside of a WDW park when the AP preview registrations for GotG went live, and all spots filled long before we got home around noontime and found out. We live 5 miles from the MK and will now have to wait until the official opening date. But it will be fine... we'll ride it that week and can re-ride again any time.

I happened to just be playing around and got an AP preview with no trip planned. Ran it by DW and it looks like our family will make a long weekend out it. We plan on doing more than just GotG so if it goes down or has problems, no worries. We'll do the EP festival booths and maybe hop over to MK. We work so that we can play. This will be fun! (Unless SWA messes with our flights).
