My DH doesn't want to make alot of ADR's for lunch and dinner.....he just wants to wing it. I do have ressies for HDDR.......my question is if we go at an off time for dining will it be very hard to get into;

Sci-fi
50's prime time
chef mickeys

I can't convince him that we need to make ADR's.

Hello!! I just got back (5/21-5/28) and I had made all my AR's before leaving for our sit-down meals. I would highly suggest you do this. They were turning people away and there was a sign at City Hall @ MK every day that there were no times available at the sit-downs. I overheard a lot of people complaining that they couldn't eat anywhere because the restaurants were all booked.

I think this summer there will be many people not being able to get into the restaurants...I hope they come up with a solution for this. All the extra traffic the dining plan is creating......

Yes, make the reservations. Those are popular restaurants. It's going to be a busy summer and the restaurants are even busier with the number of people on the dining plan.

I also have to tell you to make the ADR. We stayed a few years ago in concierge and even they could not get us a table anywhere. These days it is even worse. The places fill up with ADR guests and then they are full. These esp apply for Primetime and Chef Mickey's. You probably will not be able to get into Chef Mickey's (or any character meal for that matter) the enitre time you are there unless you make an ADR.

I just returned and could not have had such a great time without having made our ADR's ahead of time. I saw several families turned away from sit-downs because there were no openings available. I'd hate to see your family disappointed.

I would go ahead and make the ADRs as they won't require a credit card for any of the places you have listed. Worst case scenario -- you aren't able to keep the ADR you're schedule for. But if you can, it will sure save a lot of time and aggravation. :flower:

Yep, you'll need them - esp in 18 days when you go. A diff time of year might be different but this summer those places aren't going to be accepting walkups. esp the popular ones you want to dine at.

If plans change, you can just cancel without a charge so you have nothing to lose =)

Thanks for the info.....I am going to go ahead and make a couple of ADR's
if my DH doesn't want to dine at the places I choose....I will cancel
