My friend and her family are planning a trip to WDW during mid-May (I think they finally settled on the 16th-21st). She was asking me about ADR's and if she really needed them. We usually go to WDW during June so I told her I would ask :sunny:

It depends on the place.

We went mid-May of last year. We were able to get last minute ressies at Sci Fi but they were turning people away who walked in (literally, we made the reservation at WL and hopped on the bus). Brown Derby was taking no walk-ups for lunch and were only offering reservations for late that night. The GF Tea was taking walk ups.

So it depends... how's that for an answer?

I think if they want a character meal or a more popular table service, yeah, they'll need an ADR. They can always cancel it at the last minute. You can even change them around once you're there if there is room.

It depends on the place, a lot of our favorites are booked during our stay.

I would! :thumbsup2 You might be able to get into some places, but I wouldn't want to be dissapointed if i couldn't get into something. I have been mid-may before and we made ADR's. We leave in 2 days and have all our ADR's made. :goodvibes

Thanks, ya'll :thumbsup2 I will suggest to her that she try to make a few ADR's before they leave.
