I received an "invitation" since I'm one of their "best customers" (it will be interesting to see just how limited this event is) for a thing tomorrow morning from 830-930 at Archivers. Bring the invitation for a free gift, yadayadayada. OK, I need to go to Archiver's anyway, but just to be safe, I called to see if I could bring DDs (9 & 7, major scrapbookers themselves, spend more at Archiver's than *I* do) since DH has to work tomorrow and I have no one else to watch them. I was told no. I could bring ONE DD, but not both and I CANNOT receive the "free gift" after the shindig ends at 930, but both DDs can come in AFTER 930. So, now I have to drag them out of bed early, drive 30 minutes to Archiver's, go in the door at 925 to receive my "free gift" while leaving DDs in the car (which I intend to park right at the front door), then go wait until they open at 930 to conduct my business.
This really, REALLY peeves me. It could be that I was a single mother for 10 years and was treated like cr*% the whole time, so I'm super sensitive about it, but what if I *WERE* a single mom? I'm not a "best customer" anymore? They can't hold one of their precious gifts until my DDs ARE allowed in the store at 930? Sheesh!
I've already reduced how much I shop there since they did away with the 15% (and the only coupon I get is for 25% off paper...whoopee, as if I need more paper
), but this has put me over the edge. I will frequent my LSS more often rather than deal with this kind of "customer service".
I've already emailed corporate and I will speak with the manager in the morning (b/c once I get there, she'll recognize me).
Vent over...back to my regularly scheduled scrapbooking!!!
