Arbonne cosmetics

It is expensive. I only use some of the face cleansing stuff. I have to say that I love the night cream. My face has never been so soft.

I find that MLM (multi level marketing) companies can be an easy way to strain friendships -- uncomfortable product parties, and 'casual' sales pitches. People get extremely involved into it because they have so much vested, both time and money wise, that they become personally insulted once someone bashes the company they sell for or does not want to buy their product. I have heard this line one too many times: "but why make the large corporations rich when you can buy from me?"

Quixtar is the same way.
Oh heck yeah I agree with you about Quixtar. I used to work for a store where we would do product shows at Quixtar events and they would get a discount with us in our store. Knowing all I do about them, I would never ever join them.

I have a friend who just recently became an Arbonne consultant...already she's been trying to not only push me into the products, but also into becoming a rep. I used to sell Pampered Chef and am thinking about getting back into it because I just really love the products (I'm big into cooking) and I really like what the company stands for. When she heard that I was possibly getting back into PC, she tried to convince me to forget about it and join Arbonne. The way she went about it put me off BIG time. Then she said the key words, "Arbonne has the potential to be a real money maker." Sorry, but "potential" doesn't cut it for me. Her flyer for her shows (which she got from whatever rep she signed up with) are just a joke in terms of its claims.

I just got an invite for one of these parties. I wish I could lie and get out of it. I hate these silly parties!!! I always feel guilted into buying something that I do not really want to buy. I know these products are very expensive and I enjoy the makeup... etc. that I wear right now. I can only hope my DH's plane gets delayed on Friday so he does not get home until the party has begun.

I feel your pain. I say this not only to you, but also to myself: why do we feel obligated to do something we do not want to do? Why can't we just give a simple "I'm very sorry, but I'm just not interested. I hope the party goes well for you." Our time is so valuable, why must we spend it doing something of no interest to us?? If you really think about it, life is precious. I'd rather spend my time with my family making memories. You just never know what tomorrow will bring.
