Has anyone done the Arabian Knights dinner show in Kissimmee? On eBay they are selling 50% off coupons for it. I am just wondering if it is any good. (My kids are 7 & 9)

It is a fantastic show. You can purchase tickets for the show and others like it at approx. 50% off at www.ticketmania.com and then you will know you are not getting ripped off.

Thanks! I thought it looked cool but I just wanted to hear from someone with experience. I'll check out that ticket site.::MinnieMo

My family (me, DD5, DH) really enjoyed it this last December. I'm sure the unlimited beer helped DH enjoy it! I got my adult tickets through IBidUSA.com. $25.00 each. While the show was good, I wouldn't let them talk me into upgrading to the VIP tickets again. It wasn't worth it! It cost our family $43 MORE and the only perks were a poster, sticker, free soda in the VIP lounge (still, they wanted tips), a quick walk down one aisle in the stable, and seating closer to the stage. Irony of that is the families sitting just on the other side of DH didn't have to pay the extra. If you don't upgrade, seating is first come, first seated. DD5 did get to pet the Black Stallion before the show but could have done that after for free. Also, all seating seemed to be good.

Food was okay but DD5 is somewhat picky and really didn't eat anything.

Show is in an arena, which can be chilly, so bring a jacket. And skip the gift shop. Everything was very generic with 'Arabian Nights' ironed onto some. I was really hoping to find a t-shirt with the white unicorn and Black Stallion's necks intertwined (the picture you always think of), but everything was just horse shirts they had bought from somewhere else.

I would recommend the show if you get a good price. There are coupons and deals everywhere...don't pay full price!

What is the show about? My daughter is a horse crazed 11 year old who is taking lessons. I'm wondering if this is something she might like.

Can you tell me how long it is, what kind of food they serve and just an outline of the show.

Thanks!!
Jenn

The idea of the show is the best horseman can marry the princess. There's the good prince (in white) and the bad (in black). The different 'events' can be anything from cowboys and Indians to chariot races, with each side of the arena cheering on their chosen guy. Some of the dialogue was very corny. Very little was actually Arabian themed. I love horses so all that didn't matter. One of my favorite parts was when the Black Stallion would come out. He preformed without a rider and seemingly without instruction. Like he would out in the wild. I also enjoyed the end. They let out a whole herd of horses and they all played together, nipping, rearing up, and rolling on the ground. Reminded me of a herd of wild mustangs out west. And the Andalucian's were beautiful (I'm sure DD can tell you what they are and what they can do...dance). Rooting on your chariot was fun too.

Show lasts 1:30

If your daughter loves horses than I'm sure she would also love the show. She might even think the VIP upgrade is worth the money. She'll get a poster of the Stallion rearing up, which the preformers can sign, and the tour of the stable (granted, it's only one aisle).

Food: Adults get to choose between prime rib or veggie lasagna. Kids get chicken fingers and mashed potatoes (only one choice for them) All get a very small piece of 'wedding cake'. Drinks flow freely, including beer. I think I remember wine too. I ordered 'diet' and got a whole pitcher to myself. Coffee after dinner is offered...along with a card explaining how much a proper tip is here in the US (...for our Foreign guests) Our server did an excellent job so he deserved a tip.

I'm sure your daughter would love this show.

Cheapmom, thanks for the congrats. We're so proud of her!:teeth: She's had to deal with her grandfather dying this year and a major blood clot in her leg with several scares after the discovery. She even had to give her self Heperin shots for 6 months...and she still managed to keep her grades to a low 'A' average!! I don't even think proud is the word for our feelings. :teeth:

I am a horse crazed former Arabian Horse owner and I think the show is wonderful. Your daughter will love it.
IT is about 2 hours long, they serve prime rib, potato, salad, all you can drink beer and wine and soda. There is a dessert too, but, I forgot what it was.
Visit their website to find out more.
They change the show, but, basically it is a spoiled brat princess who is trying to find out what kind of man she wants to marry and where and how she wants to live.
The horse stunts are great and the horses are lovely.
