Aquatica Ticket and Dine Deal question

On the website it says "unilimited visits to the Banana Beach cookout", but also says "reservations required". Seems contradictory to me....anyone know the what it really is?

I ask because the Universal Meal Deal, when the parks are crowded, is a waste of $$$ and would like to avoid this if its the same thing at Aquatica.

:confused3

Hmmm...we did this last week - just walked up to the Banana Beach Cookout and paid for the wrist bands that day. Maybe reservations are only needed for really busy times of year? It was $15.99 for 10 & up and $9.99 for 9 & under. The food is decent but the choices do not change throught the day. For one day I think it was a good deal for us (we stayed from opening to closing and it saved us from the "which restaurant tonight" debate). Also, if you buy a refillable mug, the refills are free with that wristband, otherwise they are 99 cents.

Thank you for inquiring; if you book online you will be required to chose a date (reservation). You may also purchase at the park, in which case there are no reservations. Choosing a date simply allows us to more quickly retrieve your reservation if you forget your confirmation number.
If you do book online simply stop at the Information & Reservation counter after the turnstiles to receive your All Day Dining wristbands.
We hope to host your family soon!

Have they changed the plan this year? You could go back for food or drinks any time during the day when we got it at the park. We didn't have to buy a refillable to get the free drinks.

The refillable mugs are large souvenir cups (with lids and straws). If you purchase one at any of the World of Discovery Parks, they are refillable at any other park as well. The cup itself costs between $5-8 depending on the style you get. The refill price actually vary from location to location, anywhere from 99 cents to $1.50. I even went to guest services about this and they couldn't give me a straight answer, so I just went to the spots I knew where cheaper. The refills are also eligible for the passport member 10% discount.

If you choose to get this cup, you will have to pay for it outside of the wristband. But with the wristband, you can fill the cup up as often as you like. If you do have a wristband, you are more than welcome to get a regular paper cup of soda as often as you like.

The benefit to the mug, is A) lid and straw, B) larger cup, C) built in souvenir.

Sorry - I didn't describe that clearly- yes, you can go back for food and drink all day. You don't need the souvenir cup. I happened to buy the souvenir cup before we decided to purchase the Banana Beach Cookout wristbands. A little bonus was that I could refill the larger souvenir cup for free. You are allowed to fill the paper cups at BBC and take them out (can't take food out).
