Aquaduck for overweight people?

search youtube for POV videos on the Aquaduck. Then you will have "experienced" it prior to your cruise. You'll know then if you can handle it or not.
I have been watching all the videos and doesn't look that bad. At least there is some open air portions :)

The parts that are enclosed have swoopy lighting, too - I'm claustrophobic as well and did fine. Have a great cruise!

I'm big too and I found the easiest way to get out was to just roll to the side so you end up on your hands and knees. Then you can grab the side rail and stand up. Usually the CM is right there to take the raft from behind you as you are rolling out of it ;)

Getting in is similar. Just turn your back to the raft, squat down a bit and sit down into it. Then swing your legs around to the front. I saw other people trying to straddle the raft or step inside it first and then try to sit down and there was no way either off those methods would work for me :rotfl:

Don't worry and have fun. Actually during our cruise, the raft was stuck in the tunnel because the people on the raft didn't weigh enough for the raft to flow well, it was going way too slow. My kids were waiting a long time for the raft to return while the staff crawled through the tunnel to help the kids who were stuck.

But she won't go alone. Would it not be safe for me to ride with her, let alone by myself? TIA

Just an FYI that your daughter is too young (and I'm guessing too short) to ride alone anyway. You have to be at least 7 years old and 54" tall to ride alone.

I rode around 10 times last week with DD (4 years old & 43 inches). I'm 5'10" and size 16. Like everyone else, the only challenge was getting out and everyone had that challenge.

When they finally opened late on the 2nd sea day it was double riders only (& an hour wait). The theory about rafts flipping is right on. The lifeguards explained that it is both the wind speed & direction that is taken into account because the rafts can flip backwards in the open areas if the wind is too strong from certain directions.

The best time to ride was at night. There were flashing lights around the tubes and no lines.

They do take your pictures & use face recognition to put it in your electronic photo file--don't love the way I look in it, but the souvenir of the fun experience with DD is priceless!

Good to know! She is 6 and only 48" tall. She right away said she did not want to ride it (to my relief) but then the other day all of a sudden she can't wait to go on it but wants me to go.
