AP's ?

OK, I am surprising my DH and kids with a mini trip in Oct. I have already secrectly booked us a studio at SSR, and called my DH's boss and worked out for him to take 3 vacation days, set up our DDP and made all our ADR's, etc. I am leaning towards getting a AP considering this will be our second trip this year and I am pretty sure we will end up back there next year too...for sure if we have AP's. Ok my question...I don't know if I should order it now and then just pick them up once we are there, or just wait until I am there from the beginning. Is there one reason better than the other to do either? Also, I am planning on buying us tickets to MNSSHP, do AP holders get a discount on hard ticket events? If so, then I am assuming I will need to go ahead and get the AP, but if they are not activated will I still get the discount? Is the discount one 1 AP discount for 1 ticket or can I get 4 ticket's on 1 AP discount (assuming there is one)? Did I lose ya on that??? What is your 2 cents?

APs have no discount for buying away from the gate, so it a wash besides shipping to buy them at the park. You would still have to stand in the same line to get them activated so you are not saving any time either. I bought MNSSHP party tickets with the AP discount last year and just had to will call them and pick up the tickets and show the AP at that time. I picked up my tickets when I activated the AP. You could get 4 discounted tickets on 1 AP last year. I don't think that would change this year, but I doubt it would.
