April will be "Incredible"-y Fun!

Boy, this seemed like a long week!!! DH, DDog, and I walked two miles on the beach yesterday after dinner. You can drive your car on our beaches, so the sand is very packed. Love the ocean:beach:

Just finished W4D3 and did OK. Not covering much in the way of distance. Does anyone else find that day two of each week the hardest? Day one I am excited to start a new program, day three - I am glad I made it, but day two always seems like it is extra hard to complete.

Keep up the pace,

ScubaMickey

Just wanted to tell you guys that I'm so proud of myself! I put the baby down to bed this evening and DH stayed with Brendyn and I was going to do W5D2 of C210K outside... my first time running outside since before I got pregnant with Krys. Well, I mapped out 4.5 miles and was gonna do the 2.5 minutes walk/2.5 minutes run that the program stated but I ran the WHOLE thing. No walking at all! 4.5 miles running! I did it in like 48 minutes. I'd like to get that down but I'm so thrilled because now I KNOW I can do a 10K. I just felt like I could have run forever! :cool1::banana::woohoo:

WOW, that is super awesome. I'm very jealous!!! I did W6D1 today... covered 5.99 miles in the 73 minute time period. Not bad. I even liked the 3 minute sprints! Except the ones uphill!

Good Morning, Everyone! I was just added to the Incredibles Team, and I'm really looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

My name is TaraLee. I'm 31, married to my best friend and have a beautiful 3 (almost 4... :sad1: ) year old daughter.

My husband and I have just started changing out lifestyles to become more healthy... we are eating better, exercising regularly, and trying to be better role models for our DD. DH has lost almost 50 pounds since just before Christmas, and I'm down about 20 since January. I still have about 50 - 60 pounds to get to my big goal...

I've also started running... before this year I had never run a mile in my life, but 3 weeks ago I ran/walked my 1st 5k! My goal was 40 minutes, and I finished in 39:23! Granted, I'm really slow, but I finished!

Well, enough about me for now... Like I said, I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!

:welcome: TaraLee! Glad to have you with us. Good job on the 5k, not to worry about time, you finished which is what matters. And the more you run, the faster you will get.

As for myself, I ran 7.5 miles this morning in 1:27, 11:41 avg pace. Not too bad considering this was my first *long* run since the half in January! I went out solo, felt good, pushed the pace now and again. Couple short walk breaks to fuel. I felt it was a really good run. When I got back FIL was waiting for me.:) They had run 4 miles and I had told them I might meet up with them. He walked with me for a bit and we talked about family stuff (he is doing his estate planning finally, working on long term care ins, investments, etc). I will probably run with them next week, since they are still doing short runs.

I have updated our team list, if I have forgotten anyone please let me know.

Stampinggoddess and lyncecelia-please let me know your first names so I can put those on there.

Also, if everyone can let me know what Disney events you are running, I will make a list on the first post as well. I know that many of you are running Princess '11 and some of us are doing DL '10. This way we can know who will be going to these events are we can arrange meets etc if we want to. You can also include any other races if you want to.

Wow we are getting to be a good sized group-lots of WISHers who want to be INCREDIBLE!!

Veronica,
I am doing Expedition Everest challenge in June and Disney's 5k and 1/2 Jan. 2011.

Thanks,
Linda

This was in the book I am reading, A Race Like No Other.

"The race is not won by the swift nor the strong, but to he who endures in the end" - Ecclesiastes 9:11

Run (or walk) strong friends!!

So glad to have you on our team! Congrats on your first 5K! I am running my first this Saturday. I appreciate reading about your success because I know I will be nervous. I look forward to crossing that finish line!

Good Morning Incredibles!

Just stopping by to say HI :wave2: on this rainy Monday morning(or at least that's what we have here in No. Cali). It was a really busy, but productive weekend. Didn't get my normal long run in on Saturday, but I got a 4 miler in on Friday so I guess that'll have to do for my long Saturday run.

Welcome :welcome: to all the new Incredibles! Great to have ya!

It is going to be a busy week around this house but determined to make some exercise time....hoping to try a new bootcamp class today but I guess that will all depend on how crazy my Monday is at work.

Here's hoping everyone has an AWESOME week!

Hi everyone! I have to do a fly-by post as well. This is a really busy week for me. I work tomorrow and Friday is my birthday and then Saturday is my DD baptism. We have a bunch of family coming in for it and then a massive reception to follow. So I've been cleaning house like a mad woman since yesterday (and I haven't even put a dent in it) and I have a bunch of errands to do today. My mom and grandma come out on Mondays to stay the night and watch the kids for me when I work on Tuesdays so they're coming out early to help today. They agreed to watch the kids in the evening so I can go for a run.

So question... I'm on W5D3 of C210K but I just ran 4.5 miles straight on Saturday and was barely winded. Should i continue the walk/run program or should I start focusing on straight running and just up the distance a bit every week? Any suggestions?

Welcome to all the new incredibles! We're thrilled to have ya!

Happy Monday Incredibles! :goodvibes

And a BIG INCREDIBLES :welcome: to our new members!

I just made my DVC room reservations for the Princess in 2011! :woohoo: Snagged a savannah view room at Jambo House. I will try to switch to the Beach Club at the 7 month mark if they have transportation from there, otherwise, it will be whatever DVC resort has transportation.

I'll be glad to be able to start running again on Wednesday. I also have a 5 mile walk/run I will be doing on 4/25 -- called the Spring Dash for our local United Way. The whole family is doing that one. I'll just alternate between jogging and walking, not worry about the time and just take in the ambiance of my first "race"! :cool2:

That's so awesome. I wish we were able to buy DVC, but we aren't wealthy! :(

Happy Monday everyone! I have two goals for this week: clean my house and prepare for my first 5K on Saturday. Unfortunately, I am sick, so I am not making much progress. I started antibiotics for a sinus infection/bronchitis Sunday afternoon, so I hope to see a noticeable difference tomorrow. I need to get up off the couch and get busy (my daughter has enjoyed my illness--I've let her watch TV practically all day). I don't guess it's ever a good time to be sick, but this is very frustrating!

For our 3-0th wedding anniv my dsis gave us a night in the AKL with a Savannah view. We were in awe when we opened our window and saw a giraffe outside our room. I have also stayed a couple of nights at the Boardwalk with my dsis (did I say she is a DVC member who was at BLT for opening day)

That's so awesome. I wish we were able to buy DVC, but we aren't wealthy! :(

Not wealthy, just fortunate! :goodvibes Some people think that you have to be wealthy to live in NYC. ;)

So true. :O

I wish I could afford it but dh is not interested in it. But he is talking about going after to DW everyother year after we retire. He is also talking about taking 2 weeks one time.

welcome all the newcomers.

Well, I made it to the boot camp class this afternoon and I have to say....it was the HARDEST boot camp class I've EVER done! I'm just hoping I can get up out of bed in the morning and make it to work :lmao: I actually had to convince myself to continue on at one point. I thought...."what would the BL contestants do?...They'd suck it up and do the workout" So, that is what I did...but man it was painful! I could have used some of the "Incredibles" power!

Good morning Incredibles! Nice day out there so far unfortunately I am on my way to work.Sounds like everyone is doing great and keeping up their exercise.

Mickey's#1 Fan- When exercise gets tough I do the same thing , I envision Bob or Jillian in my face and it sure works.

Lisah0711- My DD and I are at AKL in June for the first time- not my first choice but I let her choose for graduation. I really don't care as long as we are at Disney.

Time to leave, have a good day all,
Linda
