April will be "Incredible"-y Fun!

Good morning everyone. Just wanted to stop by and say hello. I am like Susie. It is the end of the marking period and I am swamped with paper work. It is also less than 3 weeks until my students take the Advanced Placement Test. So much to get into their brain in 3 weeks that it is scary. This is not a strong group but I have known this since they walked into my classroom.

Some days I have been walking a lot. I am at 522 miles since Jan. SO far in APril I am averaging about 11500 steps a day. I am aiming for 12000 a day this month so I need to step it up a little as we go to the end of the month.

Yoga tonight and I can't wait.

Have a great day everyone and keep up the hard work.

I didn't oversleep today like I did yesterday  so I got to do my sprints on the treadmill. I was inspired by Vicky on BL having to run them for Jillian with everyone. So I decided I could do 1 min sprints alternating with 1 minute walks. Sprint speed was 7mph (8:34 min/mile:eek:) walk speed was 3 mph. I did 17 sprints, so it was close to 2 miles at that pace. I usually really hate the dreadmill, but this was fun and doing something for 1 minute is easy enough. Next time I may increase the speed on the running.

Weight was down today too, so it has been a good day so far. Hope everyone is having a good day and getting their exercise in.:cheer2:

HI everyone! Sorry I haven't been on in the last couple days. With DD's baptism tomorrow, I'm going nuts with getting last minute stuff together. I ran a 5Kon Wednesday and haven't run since. I was going to run today (was hoping to hit 5 miles on my birthday) but my legs and butt are so sore from yesterday's strength training, I don't know if it's a good idea! Anyway, I'll be going nuts until Sunday but I'll be around after that. Have a good weekend, everyone!

 to dona and Susie while they get through their grading periods.

Jess, enjoy your special week-end with your daughter. :goodvibes

Lauren, hope that you are feeling better soon. :flower3:

Veronica, I am impressed with your sprinting and your weight loss! :thumbsup2

I was able to start running again today. :cool1: I picked up with W2D1 and did just fine but I hope I don't have to take a week off again for awhile. I have to figure out the water thing, too, as I got a little dehydrated and have a little headache. I have to carry my iPhone and there is no place to add water -- not to mention I don't want any extra weight! ;)

It is getting warmer here. I think I will have to take a page from your book, Kathy and make sure I run in the morning.

Does anyone know when they will be putting together an order for WISH shirts and visors? I'm thinking I could use some WISH clothing to help me run better! :yay:

Have a great week-end all!

Is it your birthday today, Jess? If so, :bday:party:

Maybe we could add our birthdays to the team roster so we can wish our teammates a happy birthday?

Happy Birthday, Jess!

I picked up my race packet today for my first-ever 5K! Tomorrow morning, I'll be lining up at the start wearing #104. Hooray!

Good luck, Lauren! Have a wonderful time and remember -- you are Incredible! :cool1:

Happy Birthday Jess!! Have a nice weekend with your DD's baptism.:wizard:

Lisa-carrying water can be tricky. I use little bottles, only 6 oz each. I wear shorts by Race Ready that have pockets sewn across the back at the waist to carry phone, fuel, water etc. I also have a spi-belt like belt that I bought at the expo in WDW. It has 2 stretchy zip pouches to hold stuff and one of my bottles will fit in the bigger pouch. I know some folks leave a water in/by the mailbox to swig from on the way by.We have also left water out along trails to pick up later; many runners do this and no one has ever bothered with our bottles.

MickeyMomto2-GOOD LUCK on your 5k tomorrow!!! Let us know how you do.:cheer2:

I can add b-days on the list, also those who are running Princess 1/2 or WDW half, let me know so that I can put that with the list too!!

Thanks! I am planning to do the Princess 1/2, and my b-day is 3/12.

Hi Team Incredible!

Jess ~ Hope you've had an awesome birthday!!:bday: and have an awesome weekend with your daughter.

Lauren ~ GOOD LUCK on your 5k tomorrow....you are going to do great

Veronica ~ I can't remember if I've answered this question already...but I am doing the Disneyland 1/2 and keeping my fingers crossed I get chosen in the lottery for the Nike 1/2 in San Francisco! The lottery closes at midnight tonite and I guess I'll know soon. I would also LOVE to do the Princess 1/2 again, but I'll have to make that decision when time is closer.

Hope everyone has a Great Weekend!

Thanks Lisa for the thoughts about grading. I have a bag full of papers to grade when I get home from a scout obligation I need to be at today. Monmouth Council is holding 100th anniversary celebration for boy scouts this weekend at a camporee. I promised to work one of the booths (popcorn). I told them I would help set up (I figure lots of walking and lots of lifting) and would stay until 11. Then dh wants me to stay and visit with him and the event for a while.

Happy Birthday, Jess!

Good luck on your race today. Ds1 is running in his first half marathon tomorrow morning. I am not going to see him run. His gf will be there. I never thought he would do a half. I thought it would be ds2 because his is more of a runner than ds1.

This is a great quote. I live a few towns over from where Dr. Sheehan lived. Each June there is a race in Red Bank with his name,

Have a great day everyone.

My birthday is May 29

Morning all!

I had a FABULOUS run this morning-3 miles in 30:34. That is my fastest ever for that distance. It may not seem very impressive, but it was huge for me. I felt good, only took one quick walk break to catch my breath.

I will work on the races/birthdays later today when I get back from Dnieces birthday party.

Thanks for the suggestions, Veronica. I'm on a clothes buying hiatus right now until I can get down into a regular size which should be in the not too distant future. I think as my runs get longer I can just swing by my office and have water there -- I don't make a circuit yet!

My birthday is 7/11 and I am running the Princess half in March. :yay:

This a great quote, Veronica. It is so fun to find another side to yourself that you never knew existed! :goodvibes

donac, enjoy the Boy Scouts today. Let us know how your son enjoys his race.

Great run and it sounds very impressive to me time wise. :flower3:

I ran my first 5K! It went very well. I ran the whole way (my only goal), and I finished in 33:29. My best training time for 3 miles had been about 34:55, so I was very pleased with my pace. The last stretch was tough, and there were a few more hills than I was used to, but I was very happy at the end.

My husband runs, but he has never entered a race. He decided to go with me to show support, but I talked him into doing the 10K instead of the 5K with me. He finished 3rd! I had to give him a hard time about going to support me and then upstaging me. :)

Thanks to all of you for your support!
