April trip -- your thoughts??

First, thank you all for such valuable information. I've learned sooo much from reading/posting on the boards! So, once again, I am relying on your expertise...

We are looking to go to US/IOA and stay at the Hard Rock the first week of April for three nights.

I know it'll probably be super crowded, but with the the front of the line pass, does that make up for it, or are those lines crowded too? Also, is that early enough to beat the Easter/Spring Break crowds?

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

You will be fine with front of the line access. We were there during spring break last year and it was fine. We were told that the resort (HRH) was sold out that week, and I remember seeing the wait times for MIB and Spidermine 90-120 minutes, but we never waited more than about 10 minutes. We tried to eat at off times and sometime we went back and ate at the Beach Club by HRH's pool. Honestly, the crowds were never a factor for us. You will have a great time.

We also are going then. I had to book through hotel kingdom because there were no discounts to be had. Last time I called for a discount the agent said there were on King suite rooms. Expedia also had rooms at $161 for standard.

Thank you sooo much for the advice -- we're definitely going!!! I was even able to secure an Entertainment rate of $135/night at the HRH (w/ a water view). Yea!!!

I'll be there too! I'm going up for a quick weekend trip the first week of April. I just made my ressies today and they are so booked up from end of march through May. I am really hoping front of the line will only be 10 or 15 min wait. I was able to get AAA rate of 149.00 and that was the best I could do. I couldn't get anything cheaper with the other discounts available to me ( Fl resident, AP, Fan club).

If you wanted to try RP they have $99 rates available using the fan club for the first weekend in april. I'm going next week and I cant believe all 3 hotels are sold out. Must be the spring break/mardi gras crowds. Have fun everyone!

Thanks Jessica, I wish I could get that rate I saw it posted in the AP newsletter I got a couple days ago and all of the 99.00 rooms are sold out they said so far I've called twice but will continue to call to see if I can get that rate. The other problem I ran into was all saturdays are booked up till around the first week of May and I need Sat and Sun stay.
Also the reservationist told me crowds could be do to all the concerts going on around now. April 5 is K.C. and the Sunshine band& The Village People.

I booked a AAA rate once and I was never asked for the AAA member number over the phone.

I've booked AAA rates at HRH and RP, as well as many other times at other hotels, and I've never been asked for my number. They did tell me that I would have to show my card at check in.

Jessica thank you so much I did go through the link you provided with the code and got a water view 2 queen beds for april 5-7 for 129.00 a night they did have the 99.00 rate available but only for a king bed. I am going with my best friend and her son and I just dont want to try to sleep in the same bed with my kicking 3 year old and her kicking 6 year old! Thanks for the tip!
