April school vacation week

Hi everyone,
We are going to be going to Disney April 12th - 22nd. 3 nights at Pop century and 1 week at OKW. We live in Mass and our school vacation week is April 16th - 20th. I'm trying to get an Idea of the crowds at that time. When is your states April vacation week? Is it the same? I know it must be a popular time becaue I couldn't beleive how expensive the flights were!

I've never been but I've heard that is one(if not THE) busiest times of the year, especially Easter.

Ours in NJ is April 2-6 which is the week leading up to Easter...which is the most crowded week! You may be a LITTLE better off since yours is not until the 16th.

Easter week is the week of the 9th - 14th of April this year. We will be at Pop Century from the 12th - 14th. I'm hoping the week after will be less crowded.

We have off from April 5-15 here in NE Ohio.

The district I live in lost some days to snow makeup. It was April 5, 6, & 9, now it's only April 6 (Good Friday).

I think you will be okay. We went last year during Easter. It was crowded. However, if you have a plan, make ADR's, go to the parks early...you should be fine.

We will be at OKW the same time.

Because we in MA have the week of Patriot's Day for our school vacation, you will find yourself among MANY MA folks! When it is not easter week, the crowds are a bit less, the weather is hot. we were there in 2001(or 2 ?) for Patriot's Day week and it was hot (we swam alot) and MK had large crowds but other parks seemed average to high attendance. Just remember that folks go south from up north for warmth even in April. Be aware that the sun is strong in April down there.

We were at the BC last year during school break and it fell on Easter week, It was crowded and it was hot. This year we'll be on the Freedom of the Seas a lot of New Englanders on board at the cruisecritic boards.

We are off April 2 - 6th. My DD and myself will be at OKW for the week. I am expecting large crowds but have my ADR's and can't wait - I need this vacation real bad!

School vacation week here in MA is 4/15-21. There is a dance group from here going at the beginning of that week with many families extending through that 2nd wknd.
I'm flying down Fri 4/20 and staying through the 27th.

Most of the Spring Breaks for Florida schools are in March if that helps any.

We don't even get a week for Spring break here.
We only get the Thur. & Fri. before Easter, & Easter Monday off.

The school system I teach in is very stingy with vacations.
Presidents' Day Monday was our last holiday off.
We don't get another day off until that little Easter break in April.

I live in upstate NY and our spring break starts April 5th until April 15th.

I believe most spring breaks around here (WI) start 4/6 and go through the whole week after Easter. We're not going to WDW until 4/21-4/26 so I hope it is a little less crowded then.

Our spring break is march 24th thru April 8th. We are going march 24th thru 31st, so we are hoping it will be a little less crowded. We are in Southern California, so our Schedule affects the Disneyland Resort far more than WDW. That week is nuts at The DLR.

Where we live in CT, my kids are off April 16th to the 20th. We have been to WDW several times in April, although it can be crowded at times, I thought it wasn't as crowded as when we went in July. And the temp. was better. April is our favorite time to go.

Hey DVCJones, look for us at OKW! I have 2 kids, older than yours. DD is 14 going on 25 (she thinks) and DS is 11. Looks like your DH is a police officer. Mine is a Firefighter and my brother is a police officer. Wouldn't it be funny if they worked for the same town/city??

Our county spring break will be April 16 - 20 as well. At least it's not statewide (Alabama) this year.

Ours is the last week in April and we will be there that week (4/21-28), I'm thinking it's late for most places to have off, so I'm not expecting terrible crowds.
