April Month: The good, The bad, The Ugly!

What can you tell me about April??? Good time to go, bad time to go? What to avoid? Easter is that month, so is there any events going on during that time?

I am trying to give my friend advice on April, and Im struggling. I thought Id go to the experts. Thanks everyone!

Take a look at this poll about Spring Break. It looks like the week leading up to Easter has a lot of kids on Spring Break, which will mean large crowds. But the week before that (2 weeks before Easter) may be a little better.

As long as you can avoid spring break (whenever that is), I like April.

I like that poll a lot. I don't know how well it represents typical DLR guests though because a lot of use don't live in LA, but it's the best data we have.

One of the biggest school districts in Utah has their Spring Break April 11-15. That always brings TONS of people to the parks. We were there last year during that time and it was the most crowded I've ever seen it. On one of our days the FP line for Screamin' was 45 minutes.

We bailed by Thursday and went to the beach instead. It was just so, so crowded that it was uncomfortable. We did happen to run into some of our neighbors, though.

I actually prefer summer visits to Spring Break visits (we've been mid-July), even though it was hotter, it was less crowded.
