April/May 2006 Code Watch

I looked in the Boston Globe travel section yesterday. They had the special deal listed through 2/15 which has already been published and then said that special rates were available from 4/23-7/something. I have a funny feeling that those of us waiting for Easter week specials are going to be out of luck. I'll bet that WDW is pretty booked already so no special rates/codes will be released. I am disappointed as our travel dates are 4/14-4/22!

I hope that I'm wrong......

Where would you find these special rates? We're going at the end of April. Wouldn't they be published somewhere or do you have to ask your TA?

It just said ask your Walt Disney Company Travel Specialist. There was no code associated with the add but I suspect a code is coming for travel AFTER 4/23.

I think-and hope-the codes are due out any day now.

I just called the WL to inquire about a complimentary room we have with them. I told them we may add another person to it and that would warrant another room since we would have more than 4 now.

she was going to see what kind of rate should could get me if i needed to add another room to our free room and see if she could get any deal for me. I did mention that i had a premium annual pass if that helps, although i stated i knew the ap rates had not come out yet for that time-may 5. She said she just heard or thought they were due out yesterday and would check for me.

Maybe they will be here soon!!

Doesn't Peak season end 4/22?? Makessense then that they'll be trying to get people to keep coming. Bummer for all of going during peak. :(

Wow. Is that your view from the GF?

No, that was our view from the Contemporary when we went for a last-minute trip for DD's 5th birthday - I faxed (it was still OK then) a request to the CR and told them that we'd be celebrating DD's birthday and if possible we'd love a view of the MK. When we checked in, the front desk CM was truly excited to inform us that we'd be on the 11th floor, and that the view was a special one for a special girl, or something like that (what a nice man!)...well, the view lived up to what this nice CM told us, as you can see (IIRC, there's a little bit of zoom, but not much, from my point and shoot camera). The fireworks were spectacular, too! It was a once-in-a-lifetime view, as I can't imagine being that lucky again, but I guess you never know...

I am also waiting for a better code. We booked aaa room-only ressies for April 30-May 5 for CR garden view but I would love a better code--even a package code would be great.....GIDDY-UP!!!!

I see where they have released FL resident discounts for April.

Do those usually come out before the general public (non-FL resident's) or after? Anyone know the order of release so to speak?

Here's hoping that us poor saps that don't live in Hurricane country can get a good code soon too.

I always think of Kramer when I hear "giddy-up!" :rotfl:

I LOVE KRAMER!! My husband and I are big Seinfeld fans and around our house "giddy-up" is ALWAYS good

When we go to Disney this spring I am going to put a lime green "GIDDY-UP" on our door......Now if I could just find a better deal than my AAA...

Just wondering - in what room number did you stay? Sometimes, if you request a particular room number they will try to honor the request. And, boy would I like to have that view!

We just back from WDW and are getting ready to start planning our Spring trip. The only way I survive is to plan in between trips.

I keep a list of new things to do on our 'next' trip but have never completed it. As I cross things off the list I find more things to add. Is a happy problem.

A good rate would be icing on the cake.
